Since the 1st of January a cold corridor with less than -10°C stretched from West-Germany eastwards. On January 11, 1940 the temperature minimum had been -18.3° Hamburg and in Berlin -22°C.
Of course, the cold record in Poland is a whim of heaven, and man has nothing to do with it! Or?

We can only press the attack as we can (which I hope you understand is exactly what I have been doing, for many years now — and my goal is learning, and revealing, the truth, which has dwindled very far in our time, among those on both sides of every public debate). I don’t mean to step on Patrick Henry’s sentiments, above, either, I am only saying “God grant me the courage to fight what needs to be changed, the patience to endure what I cannot change — and the wisdom to know the difference.” A great testing of mankind, across all intellectual fields, is (once again) occurring now, and it appears there is hardly enough wisdom in the world to win out, on our own.
Some believe that American’s are becoming deluded narcissists. When I look one of my young co-workers who risked his life to escape communist rule in Easter Europe I can imagine that his life experience is not the same as the American kid who has been pampered and spoon fed liberal mush that he/she is soooooo special. When young American narcissists have been provided everything but have not fought for or earned anything, you get the entitlement mindset and it is easy for Savvy/corrupt politicians like Obama to exploit that narcissist/entitlement mindset to convince them that they are special and deserve to be taken care of by government aka their new liberal parents. Thus a generation of useful idiots is created. 🙂
