Yep. And it must have been larger in extent prior to that cycle of warming/melting.
Then it re-froze expanding up and until the late 1970’s (fear ruled the day), whence yet again, the cycle reversed itself and another bout of warming and melting set upon us.
Expand . .shrink . . expand . . shrink . .
Gee – I wonder what the next cycle brings us?
