Plea from Detroit — someone, anyone, please find the missing warmth and send it our way. We are running out of space to stick all the snow.

    • Fred from Canuckistan says:

Detroit must have lots of space in its empty bank accounts.

Good place to store cold, frozen cash/snow

    • Tom Bakert says:

You’ll need to install a ground heat exchanger, but with the loop field installed at the bottom of the ocean where the missing heat is hiding.

  2. Anthony Bremner says:

Weather channel just said that because it is 60 deg in subtropical Soshi with average temp 52 that proves global warming and to ignore the cold here. How stupid do they think America is? Meanwhile the ski area Krasnaya Polyana had a high of -4 today according to weather.com.

  3. Andy DC says:

That is quite a “cold snap”, running over 4 months. But as we all know, cold is entirely consistent with a warming planet. And as every idiot knows, the warming planet is directly caused by angry, older, mean spirited, straight, white Republican males, desperately clinging to guns and religion. It is settled science, that we are all going to die!

  4. Notice how California and Florida are 0 to 4 degrees above normal while most of the country is 0 to 4 degrees below normal and the upper Midwest is 4 to eight degree below normal.
Your map would be more accurate if you pointed to 80% of the country as “weather” while the rest is “climate.”

  5. Martin says:

Japan seems to be having some “weather” for the second year in a row – so much for Kyoto !!

  6. sean2829 says:

Makes perfect sense. Climate is what you expect and weather is what you get. Since most climate scientists expect it to be warm, all warm weather is climate.

  7. Tom Englert says:

Enough weather already. Bring on the climate.

  8. Russ Steele says:

Reblogged this on Sierra Foothill Commentary and commented:
This is how our local liberals view the difference between climate and weather.

  9. Andy Oz says:

    Meteorology History Quiz:
1761 – Joseph Black discovers that ice absorbs heat without changing its temperature when melting. Climate Alarmists round the world think they have found the missing Hiroshima heat!!!!
