The green religion offers only guilt. You are wrecking the planet, and the only thing you can do is make token hopeless gestures with no chance of success, and no benchmarks to even measure success by.
After a while, the only recourse for adherents to this religion is to find someone else to blame and develop a righteous anger. Europeans did this in the 16th century, when 30,000 witches were burned at the stake for “cooking the weather.”
Now we see academics blaming the Koch Brothers, and climate skeptics in general for bad weather. Some academics are calling for the death penalty for climate skepticism. Exactly the same dark ages thought process as five hundred years ago, based on superstition, hatred and ignorance.
One can only assume that the high priests of the global warming religion are doing this on purpose. There isn’t any end game to pushing CO2 guilt, other than generating hatred against more rational people.

A little OT, but where are the robins this year? The flocks usually arrive toward the end of March, but so far, nothing. All I have this year is an infestation of inchworms that have stripped every hickory on my lot.

Yes I had some words with an arch-warmist at work, and he informed me that El Niño are cause by man-made CO2 heating the atmosphere and that they never happened before we (humans) push the CO2 level up.

Not guilt but blame. They blame the oil companies for making petroleum products but don’t blame themselves for buying them. Global warming is caused by the power companies but they don’t blame themselves for using electricity.
They claim the oil companies force them to buy petroleum. The same idiot mentality causes fat people to blame McDonalds for making greaseburgers, or smokers blaming tobacco companies for forcing them to smoke. What a bunch of looooooosers.
