Can I Do It Again?

Last time I lived in Maryland I only had a bicycle, and they had the mildest winter on record. I am headed back there for the summer with a CO2 spewing car, and hope to see a mild summer.

Forget weather though, and on to the important stuff. It looks like my Man City prediction is going to happen.

So was you that caused all the extreme(ly nice) weather back in 2012.

I have to admit, the way Liverpool were playing, I thought they pretty much had it sewn up. All bets are now off in my house, I don’t trust City to close it out, even though they have 2 “easy” games on paper.

It wouldn’t shock me at all if Chelsea were to sneak in and win it.

    • That would require Chelsea to actually score some goals.

Only 2 in 2 games. I think they can (just about) manage that.

        Steve,
Check out Derby County winning two league titles in the 1970s, when other teams who could have won the league after Derby had played their last game bottled it. I think the Derby team were actually on holiday in Spain on one occasion when they got the news that they were champions.

I’m sure you’ve got to go where the work is, and travelling that far isn’t your preference, but you should check out the Northwest next time. There is a TON of IT work up here. In my field, the (north)eastern seaboard doesn’t pay as well either.

I have an entire apartment setup that I can fit in my econocar. Bed platform made of plywood pieces, and I top it with a nice air mattress and pad. Breakdown coffee tables from IKEA that cost $7.

A friend of mine used to fly in, rent a car at the airport by the month, drive to extended stay and check in, and he’s at the job the next day. Convenient.

Being a conversationalist in my own personal sense, and doing what I thought was the right thing to do and minimalize my energy usage without much lecture of other peoples habits, when the climategate scam emails came out all hell broke lose with me. I bought me a 4×4 Big truck, and no longer do I feel guilty about driving a gas guzzler. I cut up some trees in my yard this year and will gleefully burn the wood this winter~ thus saving some moolah having to pay higher energy bills. Riding bikes is for cardiovascular exercise and nothing more.
