Look at all those people swimming. It must be toasty and warm. Wait….

  2. nigelf says:

I just had a look at the Duluth cam and there’s still lots of big chunks of ice floating around.
    Unprecedented!

  3. D. Self says:

Global warming causes extreme ice. Who would have thought that?

  4. Psalmon says:

The Polar Bear club in May. Love it.

Ice on Memorial Day in Michigan, due to an overheated atmosphere.

Yes, and it’s totally logical that the hotter it is the more ice we will have. Hot air rises, as you know, and that leaves only cold air behind. So global warming climate change is causing this freeze which is extending into summer. Cut CO2 to the bone! Immediately!!

    • Robertv says:

So how exactly is that same hot air high in the atmosphere heating the deep oceans ?

      • usJim says:

Telekinetic linkage; it is beyond simple mortals to explain *, let alone book-juggling (read that as ‘f raud-committing) climate scientists with little understanding actual physics and the scientific method. …

        * Insert “/sarc” here.

Climate science is the ‘phrenology’ of the late 20th bridging into the 21st century.

        .

Phrenology – a pseudoscience primarily focused on measurements of the human skull.
        .

        • Byron says:

          Phrenology :
The pseudoscience of reading the lumps and ridges on a persons skull to determine their personality type

          Applied retrophrenology :
The art of percussively applying lumps and ridges to a persons skull to alter their personality type to the one desired

        • Andy Oz says:

Ooo. Retrophrenology. Sounds painful. Does it work?

        • Byron says:

          Andy,
I only have evidence from several non-controlled experiments many , many years ago in equally non-controlled environments ,( i.e. Pubs ) where I applied lumps to the heads of a variety of drunken aggressive idiots who wanted to start fights . Changes in behavior were immediate , most noticeable being a complete cessation of aggressive behavior . The effects were only temporary as , on regaining consciousness , the subject(s) resumed Their aggressive displays . The experiments showed some promise however as the subjects went to considerable lengths to avoid further retrophrenological treatments by performing said aggressive displays from across the street or while speeding away in a car

      • Ken Driver says:

Simple- high Co2 levels in the atmosphere are absorbed by the ocean- C02 causes water temperature levels to rise.

    From the linked blog:

This is what it looked like at the beach! (pic. from the Marquette NWS facebook page and Doug Vanb). Easiest day a lifeguard ever had. Check out this picture Sunday from the beach at Grand Marais. Note, not only the expanse of ice, but also, no leaves on the trees yet.

No leaves on the trees yet!

It be nearly June!! I get it, this is the result of it being “the hottest month ever.” I think the people (or “the little people” as Michael Mann is fond of saying) are not as stupid as the elitist warmists think they are.

    • Gail Combs says:

I wonder what that will do to the grain crops in northern USA and in Canada. – Not good.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

Easiest day a lifeguard ever had.

I don’t know. From behind he looks worried. He must be thinking:

“Don’t you dare going in, morons. If you make me go in to drag you out, I will first kick your ass, do CPR on you with a two-by-four, and then kick your ass two more times.”

      • Andy Oz says:

“Do CPR on you with a two by four….”
        ROTFLMAO ?
You just made my day, CW. I’ll never be able to renew my First Aid Ticket without cracking up during the practical.

  7. Eric Simpson says:

Oh wait, now I get it. It’s just where we are that it’s colder than hell. It’s hotter than hell everywhere else. It’s always where we or you are, that it’s freezing, that the sea doesn’t rise (like those popovers I tried to cook), that you got 20 foot snow drifts. But everywhere else it’s burning hot and the sea is quickly engulfing all those low lying island countries. Notice those places long ago disappeared with little fanfare (sarc / their beaches appear exactly like they did a few decades ago). Kind of re-reminds of this M4GW video from a couple years back when it was also freezing all over the US and the warmists were also then trying to say that it was “the hottest year ever.” Right:

I have no idea if this link will work.
