Colorado Flooding

Snowpack is far above normal, the Poudre River is already up to its banks, reservoirs are full, we are expecting record May snowfall this weekend, and mountain snow melt hasn’t even started yet.

Meanwhile, President Obama says we are burning up and drying up.

  2. Pathway says:

Colorado River rose 2 feet during the warm spell but will drop over the weekend. In 2011 the river rose to flood stage and stayed there for 5 weeks. No record shows that happening in the past. But during the next glaciation the 300 inches of rain and glacial melt water will destroy most of the cities that have been built in these ancient flood plains.

  3. I’m sure if there was a way to adjust past rainfall upward to show today’s draught in starker relief they would.

  4. Tel says:

There you go, Global Warming causes droughts and floods at the same time. Told you it was dangerous, but you didn’t listen.

I predict that something will happen next year, and it will be caused by Global Warming… just you wait and see if I’m right.
