Four Year Old Arctic Sea Ice Area Has Tripled Since 2011

Must be rotten.
Okay, I get it. This is an IQ test.
You are saying that three times more two year old ice from 2012 survived to 2014 than one year old ice from 2008 survived to 2011.
It must be “orphan” ice. Without a pedigree, it won’t be counted by the Borg. Maybe they will call it “stray” ice, or “feral” ice. Like a junkyard dog with one blind eye and no collar. But if this year is like last year, we may see numbers steadily above the mean.
From viewing the Borrow, Alaska Sea ice web cam it seems that the sea ice there is not going anywhere especially fast. Anyway the big destroyer of sea ice is the winds and currents that can and from time to time sweep sea ice out of the Artic and into the path of passenger liners like the unsinkable Titanic.
They made a movie about that one and the Titanic flick won more Academy Awards than Owl Gore’s adaptation of the novel “An Inconvenient Truth”
Is that really four year old ice, or four foot thick ice Steve? Re-posting this on DTT dot com, where your name gets taken in vain. LOL
Yeah, well according to the Yoyos, back in the 1960s we had ice ¾ of the way to the moon, you denialators.
It should be a rather pleasant rowing season, and it looks like the crew could shove off any day now 😉
“Shove off”, however, is a kinder and more gentler way of voicing another suggestive…
Hey, Russia may be bigger than Canada but we got more islands!
Sorry, couldn’t resist the observation 🙂
It tripled because it found a better place to be.
But that’s only because all of the heat is getting sucked to the depths of the Arctic, causing more surface freezing. It’s just more evidence of an overall warming planet; don’t you get it?
