Warning to everyone: if the data about today’s eruption is true, volcanic dust will be in the stratosphere and this means a wicked cold winter is coming.
I am already making plans to increase my firewood efforts in the forest this summer. And ‘summer’ has barely warmed anything so far, before this eruption. The volcanic dust will also increase snowfall.

Looking at the pictures and from the estimated height of the ash cloud (12 mi) it seems similar to the impressive 2011 eruption of Grímsvotn in Iceland,

but it was a VEI-4 eruption and had no important effect on global climate.
Except it covered half of Vatnajokull in ash which will later be described by alarmists as ‘black carbon’.
