It’s a civil war now, created by the EU and US with their support of the putsch government now in power. I have been watching western media set the narrative by their descriptions of the the pro Russian Ukrainians and pro Western Ukrainians. Pro Russian Ukrainians are labelled pro Russian separatists, extremists or rebels, but pro Western protesters are labelled pro Western Ukrainians. They screech about Russian naval and naval aviation on the US coast as some sort of new provocation, but fail to mention this is in response to the US Navy entering the Black Sea for the first time, upping the ante. What is the point of dispatching U.S. destroyers into an area the Russian’s view as being almost home waters, their Chesapeake Bay? When you see John McCain in support of any cause, you know potential huge sales of military equipment and supplies are involved. I doubt Eastern Ukrainians will be in the market for US made weapons. This is a lose lose situation all round.
And the IMF, loan conditions demand Kiev remains in control over the East.
