NOAA Vs. The White House

The White House says that historic cold slowed the economy this winter.

NOAA says it wasn’t that cold, after they get done tampering with the data.

    If “Doctor*” Tom Karl was forced out of a job because of EPA regulations, I wonder if he would be “for” or “against” NOAA trying to make global warming something more than a psychosis.

    The Great Lakes and your cottonwood trees know that it was an extremely cold winter, regardless of what NOAA tells us.

    As I pointed out on NPR (before they deleted my comment), according to the NCDC the winter of 1983-84 was colder than this past winter yet the quarterly GDP grew at over 8%.

      I can’t imagine the Reagan administration diminishing petroleum gas liquefaction because of “greenhouse gas” regulations.

      But that is what happened: no LPG and no economy because it wasn’t there.

  8. I can’t wait until they make this winter warmer. Maybe we will be reimbursed for our high heating bill.

  9. Median Q4-Q1 (winter) GDP growth since 1970 is 2.8%. The 10-year rolling average of Q4-Q1 GDP growth never fell below 1.8% until 2009, and it hasn’t risen above 1.4% since then.
