President Obama Predicts 10 Degrees Warming By 2100

If we take no additional action, U.S. temperatures will rise 5 to 10 degrees by the end of the century.

US temperatures have been declining for 90+ years, and the US is having the coldest start to the year on record. Obama’s forecast defies all logic and veracity.

  1. You should really have two Obama forecast lines on there: one for a 5 degree increase and one for a 10 degree increase.

  2. If we take no additional action(s), temperatures will rise 30 to 50° by late August.

Obama has not exactly had a record of predicting anything accurately. Obamacare, Benghazi, illegal immigrants, you name it. He’s approaching Erhlich’s record of stark pronouncements that prove entirely hollow and worthless, but they still insist they were mostly right. Pathetic.
I think that his climate sermons are not reaching any ears that weren’t already entirely his. He is not converting anyone.

Liar, liar pants on fire – those 5 words accurately describe our commie/prog President.

Multilolz. Obama sticks his head in the oven. What a loon.

Why might this blogger claim of steady US cooling may lead to skeptics being further sidelined:

    (A) Berkeley Earth Project disagrees and is peer reviewed and so far uncontested in the literature, alas, and was even funded by the Koch brothers:

    http://berkeleyearth.lbl.gov/regions/united-states

    (B) NASA’s only official climate division also disagrees, an organization full of rocket scientists, whose full computer code is in the public domain for any programmer to check, as several AGW enthusiasts have done but not a single skeptic:

    http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/Fig.D.gif

    (C) On the WattsUpWithThat.com reference pages, there is not a single non-satellite US temperature plot, and the satellite plot shows no such cooling:

    http://wattsupwiththat.com/reference-pages/us-weather-climate/us-climate-page/

    (D) However, to indeed officially *confirm* Steve’s claim, created with his own unvalidated software code, the NOAA web site allows plotting of individual states and in October, when neither local interior building heating or A/C exhaust effects are at play very much, you do see most states as steadily cooling since the Dust Bowl era:

    http://themigrantmind.blogspot.com/2009/12/hundred-years-of-october-cooling.html

Does their official October plot of the whole US also show decades of cooling? The plotting site is here: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cag/time-series/us

Result: a mere 0.05° F per decade warming whether you start from 1895 or 1920. Their full year plot instead of just October shows almost three *times* as much warming, when you include “Display Trend” on that page.

Finally, here is a scale-matched overlay of the official NOAA data on top of the blogger version above, that also includes the full range of the Obamaclimate forecast:

The lower range is not as ridiculous looking now, when you use official data and factor in claimed positive feedbacks on top of a continuing burst of Asian carbon dioxide emissions.

Oops, I drew the lower Obama prediction too high by a full degree:

Now does it look so crazy? No, with up-adjusted official data, it does not. This goes to show how seemingly minor tweaks to official data can win a PR war.

So how long has he got before he becomes a laughing stock? If a strong El Nino is in the offing then maybe he can carry his message for another 2 years or so, maybe longer, if not, then he won’t last until the next president gets sworn in? How do we message this?
