The sea surface temperatures in the western Pacific were “probably the warmest ever recorded this past year,” he told NBC News.
Global Warming Linked to Frigid U.S. Winter, Scientist Says – NBC News.com
Sea surface temperatures in the western Pacific are 4C below normal.
I recall that about 2 years ago, some nut case ‘scientist’ stated that the warm water off Newfoundland was caused by Global Warming. I sure wish I kept his name around, check it out now!!! I would love to have thrown this image back in his face.
Norm Catto’s name pops-up a quite a few searches I done.
Oh no Steven,
you are letting simple observable facts fog the debate on ‘climate science’ again.
Right. It’s not about facts, or whether their propositions are true:
“The data doesn’t matter. We’re not basing our recommendations [for CO2 cuts] upon the data. We’re basing them upon the climate models.” -Chris Folland, UK Meteorological Office
“Rather than seeing models as describing literal truth, we ought to see them as convenient fictions which try to provide something useful [?].” -David Frame, Oxford U
And don’t forget one of the cited reasons for rejecting Dr. Bengtsson latest paper was –
“there is consensus that the climate of Western Europe and Northern Europe is warmer than it would otherwise be due to the North Atlantic drift”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_Stream
So Europe could be in big problems.
