40 years ago we had a president abusing power, Arctic sea ice cover was about the same as now, and the climate was crazy due to global cooling.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

And 40 years from now it may be again. The circle of life is a good title.
I kind of look at it as evidence that no matter how much hot air they blow in DC they can’t warm the climate.
Mother nature has a sense of humor. Perhaps she will send a polar vortex and snow for election day, Tuesday, November 4.
I can remember snow on Halloween as a kid in New York state so it is not out of the question. For example Buffalo had snow Nov 2 –>5 in 1950 and even D. C. had a low of 28 °F on November 4, 1951.
October 28, 2012…2+ FEET of snow blanketing a large portion of WV…in many areas, it was still around and power was still off on Election day..
That should be 29th…
you may want to point jim hunt in the direction of the bottom graph , on second thoughts it would be a waste of time.
Jim Hunt is commenting here for the express purpose of causing doubt in the minds of the fence sitters.
And here I thought it was for comic relief…

Have you ever seen an explanation of why the 1973-1978 data was removed? I would have left it in with larger error bars if they were less sure of it, not just disappeared it.
