Bernie Sanders says “Nobody can recall” – when the problem is strictly his own faulty memory.
Bernie can’t remember 1990, which explains why he wants to do a repeat of the Soviet Union in 2015. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989.

I worry if you are surprised at this!
s Michael Savage, radio commentator observes. “Liberalism is a metal disorder.” Bernie, Algore, Hussein, Mrs. Clinton, SanFranNan, et all, suffer from a form of ultra-early onset dementia.
metal disorder …. WTF??
Yeah mental disorder.
They do not believe in reality outside of their own heads.
They think everything they want will come true if they close their eyes, wish real hard, convince others and toss temper tantrums.
So what else would you call denying reality, that is thinking “Objective phenomena and events were of no consequence” but a mental disorder?
The Philosophy Of Karl Marx
This is the type of Philosophy (Idealists) that was taught in American schools. Kant, Hegel and Fichte for example.
The philosophy of college kids who never leave the ivy tower. Never left mommy and daddy’s house before then. Don’t get out much. They’d rather vote for a pie in the sky idealist without a clue that a guy like Trump who lives in the real world and is grounded in reality.
Vote for Trump, don’t be a chump.
Listen to Jerry talk about Trump, skip to 48:00

While nobody can recall their own birth, that hardly means it didn’t happen. It is foolish to deny something just because someone doesn’t recall it. Until the records are scrubbed clean, there are still some records.
Yeah, but that was Independent Senator Bernie Sanders @SenSanders not recalling:

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders ?@BernieSanders recalls just fine what he has seen around the world:

“The debate is over. Climate change is real and caused by human activity. It’s already causing devastating problems around the world.”
…………
Again this is Hegelian Philosophy
Sounds like BS to me. I doubt if Bernie has ever heard of Hegel.
Bernie is Hegel. He wants to be the 7th Marx Brother.
docfjs says “….Sounds like BS to me. I doubt if Bernie has ever heard of Hegel.”
AHHHhh, yes the typical low information socialist troll who has no idea of who put the thoughts in his head — That is what few thoughts he might have.
Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel was the philosophical mentor of Karl Marx. If I, someone who never studied. philosophy knows this simple fact, why would anyone think Bernie Sanders, with a driving interest in Marx and socialism would not?
Bernie Sanders Found Socialism at the University of Chicago
I am quite familiar with Hegel’s connection with Marx and Bernie’s Marxist leanings but it’s really a stretch to connect his ideas on global climate change with Hegel’s “meaningless verbiage” as Karl Popper called them. I am pretty sure that Bernie could also explain his position on gun control on Hegel’s dialectic but so what?
What I am saying is that Hegel is full of BS also.
I thought it would be useful to watch the dance of the demented. Here is a snapshot from Bernie’s two tweets as of right now:
Nobody can recall a Christmas Eve …

docfjs, I agree Hegel (and Marx) are full of B.S. Unfortunately it doesn’t mean Progressive schools systems aren’t trying to stuff his crap into people’s heads.
The last dose I got was at a week long management seminar for foreman and such. I sent the poor guy packing practically in tears followed by gales of laughter.
There were train tracks outside the window and a train due in about fifteen minutes. It was just too perfect not to take advantage of…. Now what was that about not knowing what reality is? Want to place any bets? Just make out your will leaving me everything before you lie down on the tracks…
66 degrees in Troy NY on December 24th, 1990?
Bernie was probably in Moscow or Havana getting his mind cleaned that day. Give the old Commie a break.
😀
Bernie’s spent the last 10 Decembers in Montpelier, Vermont. Now he’s in Washington running for president. He thinks the reason it’s so much warmer in Washington than Vermont is because of CO2. What a f’ing a’schule
Did that idiot claim there have been no Christmas days over 65F? Son of a gun. He must never have heard of Orlando Florida.
I recall at least 2 Christmas days that were close to 70F in N. IL. I’m 60. Bernie’s a burn out.
And do you remember those brutal winters in N.IL in the late 70’s? I recall one year, 27 days Jan into Feb where the temperature never rose above Zero, wind chills would sting the face, and snow that had to be pushed off the roof with brooms and shovels. I was attending NIU in those days and the science prognosticators where submitting cover stories to Time and Newsweek about the coming Ice Age. Come on Bernie!
I was in Indiana at that time and gave up and bought an expedition type down coat. I still have it.
Liberals never cease to amaze me. They regularly accuse the conservatives of being anti science but they never actually look at the science they talk about. When they do talk about science they quote an obscure or retracted study.
That’s because they really don’t care about the science and don’t actually give a damn if the earth is warming or cooling. They do care about advancing their goal of destroying Capitalism and creating a socialist world order.
And when those babied, spoiled, silver-spoon socialists finally find out what their Utopia socialist world with an 83% reduction of CO2 emisions really means, they will scream bloody murder and their soft fat useless bodies will die in droves.
Their non-carbon world is a life in the equivalent of the 17th century with a layer of feudalism added. It is a time when farmers made up about 90% of the labor force. A time when crude wooden plows were used, all sowing was done by hand, cultivating by wooden hoe, hay and grain cutting with sickle, and threshing with flail. — And everything was powered by human labor. A time when presious steel pins were used as money by the poor. (This BTW was the reason for slavery.)
Forget about horses, mules or oxen as a source of energy. They eat about 1/3 to one half of the farm’s production so will be banned on the collective farms.
Wind and solar, being low energy and intermittent, can not pump water out of mines reliably or smelt the ores so forget any technology dependent on metal. Any modern wind and solar can not be replaced and the USA rapidly descends into a third world country with a major population reduction. The inner city Gimmes will be driven out into the fields and if useless slaughtered by government troops (Why do you think Homeland Security bought 1.6 Billion Rounds of Ammo and is now coordinated local police in Fusion Centers ?)
Think Pol Pot writ large. The Soviet Union with its attempts to modernize and use of fosil fuels would be heaven in comparison.
Am I kidding? No I am very serious. I did the calculations on what it means to lower our CO2 footprint by 83% a while ago.
The average energy use for the USA is 335.9 million BTUs per person.
The U.S. in 1800 had a per-capita energy consumption of about 90 million Btu.
Therefore if the USA reduces its energy consumption by 83% it equals 57.1 million Btu. per person. If you are talking 83% reduction of the 2008 level for the entire USA then you also have to take population growth (all those illegals…) into account.
Population of USA in 2008 — 304.1 million
Population of USA in 2008 — 318.9 million
U.S. population is projected to grow by 89 million by 2050 (Pew Reports Feb 2014) or an increase in the population of 1/3 or 103.8 million. Or a total population of 407.9 million.
That means 42.5 BTUs per person. or less than half the fossil fuel/CO2 emitting energy per capita as was used in 1800. Like I said back to the 1700s with little to no use of metals by the general population.
Some of the catastrophic consequences of the warm December have been lower heating bills, golf courses green and open for business, roses blooming on Christmas and people not wearing jackets. We are going to die!
He’s probably talking about the same Nobody who would disagree that we need to redistribute the wealth and prohibit self defense.
It’s all about redistributing wealth and spending other people’s money. Have you read about the new Bernie Sanders drinking game? It’s the rage on college campuses.
The rules are simple. Every time Bernie announces or promotes a ‘free’ government give-away program you grab the guy’s sitting to your right’s beer and drink it down and shake your arms after singing that money grows on trees. The trick is to only buy cheap beer for yourself, and sit to the left of the guy buying the expensive beer.
Hey, you know, come to think of it, 65 deg F on Christmas day is kind of nice.
At 65 i recall things with perfect clarity. Unfortunately my family has to correct me at every turn.
Same with me. I don’t understand how they can be so wrong all the time.

Ooh, you’re so pretty Gail. 🙂
With reference to your point above about mining, without continuous and reliable power the skip and cage winders would not be allowed to operate for safety reasons as is also the case with the ventilation system. Without proper electrical energy our entire civilization would fail but the employees of Greenco seem not to understand that.
Might I just take this opportunity to wish you, and all of the gang on this great site, a prosperous and satisfying 2016.
Why thank you Keitho,

He beat me to it, Gail! I wanted to say that.
If Bernie says, “Nobody can recall a Christmas Eve where the temperature was 65 degrees.” … I prefer to vote for that Nobody who takes the red pill and sees the truth and facts. Bernie and other democrats believing in an artificial politically made-up dreamland have long been taking the blue pill which can alter memories creating a fictitious “truth.”

Another BS tweet…
It makes no sense that students and their parents pay higher interest rates for college than they pay for car loans or housing mortgages.
-Bernie Sanders, Democrat Hippie
Looks like somebody skipped their Economics 101 class for a pipe dream.
I actually think Bernie may be on to something with this one. Student loans come almost entirely from the federal government. Auto loans come mostly from Ally Financial, which is just the burned out hull of GMAC, and, until just last year, was 100% owned by that same government. Since at least 2008, both auto and student loans have been primarily for the purpose of back door monetary stimulus, and have been mostly untouched by market forces. In each industry, I’d argue that those ninja loans currently ARE the dominant market force. And the rates for both are set almost entirely at the whim of government. The closest thing to a market force involved is fear. Potential car buyers have little fear of going without a brand new Navigator, so removing all qualifications for the loans wasn’t enough. They had to cut the rates to zero, and extend the terms to 7+ years. High school students, on the other hand, are so scared of not getting a degree that removing all qualifications was plenty to fill the schools to beyond capacity. They won’t need to lower rates until there are unfilled seats in the colleges.
Since the rates on both loans are currently set by governmental fiat, I have to agree with Bernie that the college students are getting schlonged, to borrow a term from a much better economist. They’re paying exorbitant rates, not based on time value of money, or repayment risk, but based on the fear that the government itself induced in them.
The solution, of course, is not to lower rates on the students, or raise rates on the car buyers. It’s to get the government out of both industries. If actual people were originating those loans, they’d set the qualifications to a realistic level, and the interest rates would float appropriately. People would have to actually qualify for loans. There would have to be some realistic plan for repayment. We’d have a lot fewer people in college, and they’d be studying things that might actually contribute to the system. Personally, I’ve always found it absurd that a student loan for a lesbian studies degree carries the same interest rate as one for nuclear engineering. The risk pools are incomparable. But as long as the government keeps it’s nose in it, that absurdity will continue to stand.
So I agree with Bernie, about the problem. But his “solution” is more of the same, and can only make the situation worse.
It is simple, one is called a “secured loan”, and the other is an “unsecured loan”. Banks don’t just make this stuff up, it matters.
But banks aren’t involved in either, any more. That’s my point. I’m saying that your position SHOULD be correct, but the government no longer allows it to be.
Of course banks are involved, they are required! Bad governments need a scape goat
“The solution, of course, is not to lower rates on the students, or raise rates on the car buyers. It’s to get the government out of both industries. There would have to be some realistic plan for repayment.”
Amen! And while we are at it, get private banks out of the “creating-money-out-of-nothing” scam.
Actually if you look at the situation, student loans sky rocketed because the student loans made it unnecessary for universities to practice fiscal restraint.
I didn’t keep the link but someone did the analysis and found the sky rocketing cost of a college education was cause by a skyrocketing college bureaucracy!
A quick look found a link.
Administrators Ate My Tuition
And the Admin salary are doing very nicely too.
Well we now know where all the liberals with basket weaving degrees ended up…
I rather deal directly with the root cause of the problem.
START FIRING !!!
Let’s look at endowments!
Harvard University (MA) $36,429,256,000
Yale University (CT) $23,858,561,000
Stanford University (CA) $21,466,006,000
Princeton University (NJ) $20,576,361,000
Harvard has roughly 21,000 students who pay on average just under $46,000 for a 4 year degree. Harvard could pay for every one of its student’s educations for the next 37 years with what it currently holds in endowments. So why do these institutions get tax breaks, and why are we mad at banks?
Our education system has gone down basically the same path that our healthcare system has — and for the same reasons. Inject vast sums of gummint money into a market and you get vast distortions of the market pricing function.
As for the growth of university administrations, a good place to look is at http://professorconfess.blogspot.com/ “Professor Doom” as he calls himself, has plenty of stories on the subject. That is also one of the reasons why the quality of education has fallen. More and more money has attracted a class of administrators who are more interested in money than in teaching students. The result is a demand to the faculty that they water down courses so that more and more sub-qualified students can enroll and pass and (most importantly!) keep paying for more courses.
As I said guys, root cause.
The whole mess started from the liberal whining that college educated SMART people made big bucks. So the Govmint had to DO SOMETHING!
Now we have a bunch of ‘college educated’ numbskulls with a huge debt and no real job skills. On top of that corporations are forced to hire the spoiled rotten numbskulls that are worse than deadweight and society as a whole loses.
It occurs to me that this thread is a good example of a worthwhile discussion with different people with differing viewpoints.
Gator of course defending the banksters to his last dying breath…
(Spins, ducks and runs as Gator lobs rotten eggs…)
Gail, you call a few elites “banksters”, and smear an entire industry. That is the plain truth of it.
I always enjoy a little lovers’ spat but gator never defended “banksters”.
Now I have to run and duck …

OK, I’m sorry…
Actually I was just yanking your chain. I do agree it is the International Bankers who own/control the Fed that are the problem. The small bankers and western bankers were just as ticked off as everyone else with the 1913 Christmas Eve Act of treason.
Gail, I wish everyone could sit in on our board meetings, and hear the same discussions there that we get here. Bankers in general are conservative to libertarian, and want a free market system. I don’t know of a single Obama or Fed supporter in my office.
With age comes wisdom also the realization that there is nothing new under the sun. Based on this I would say that Bernie is intentionally broadcasting propaganda that he knows to be false in an effort to garner more power over the masses.
Given his age, it seriously could be dementia.
The Russians just laugh at all these tired old losers in the Democratic party.
