The land around the mouth of the Mississippi is rapidly sinking. This has nothing to do with sea level rise or global warming. It is due to geology and building of levees which disrupt the normal deposition of sediment.

There is nothing President Trump or anyone else can do to stop this, any more than he can stop sea level from rapidly falling along the Alaskan coast. However, after the 1900 hurricane wiped out Galveston, they added three feet of dirt to the entire city before rebuilding to make it less prone to storm surge damage.
Instead of brainless 16th century superstition blaming other people for natural processes, how about doing some early 20th century engineering? That isn’t the Bloomberg way.
