Climate Change And Global Warming – The Big Lie

Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.

  • Adolf Hitler

Fake scientists and their partners in crime at the fake news press say that spring is coming earlier in the US due to global warming.

Spring coming earlier in US because of climate change, scientists say | Environment | The Guardian

As with everything else they say, they are lying. The average early spring temperature has plummeted in the US, with 2013 and 2014 being among the coldest on record.

The areal coverage of warm weather has also plummeted from the peak in 1910. Only four years had greater than 50% coverage of 70 degree temperatures – 1910, 1939, 1907 and 1925.

It wasn’t just warm in the US in 1910, as glaciers were rapidly shrinking all over the world – and had been for several years. Including the Arapahoe Glacier in Colorado.

The Arapahoe Glacier is still there. I see it every day.

According to the fraudsters at NASA, 1907-1911 were the coldest years on record. A time when glaciers were shrinking all over the world.

Climate criminals also say that shrinking glaciers are unequivocal evidence of global warming, even though glaciers were shrinking during their claimed coldest years on record.

Just an FYI update. They are saying tomorrow, maybe Sunday cherry blossom peak.

That would make it Mar 27th. (And since they are nearly always too early, probable Monday 28th.)

Wow, what a major catastrophe that the alarmists can’t have their way.

B.t.w. most of the blogs out there, that I have found, seem to be soooo shocked that the blossoms look so well, they thought 50% were gone! Oh no…. they botched another part of their catastrophic myopic look to the future via their C02 crystal ball.

So I am searching for today’s and tomorrow’s DC cherry blossoms from everyone to show how tragic a season it is.

The climate scam depends on fake temperature data, rewriting history, hiding the past, using flawed logic, and constantly lying to the public – day in and day out.

Fake temperatures – It’s easy enough to prove that temperatures are changed several times a year.

Rewriting history – Colorado University’s Sea Level Research Group certainly re-writes the historical satellite data. They’re over due for their next installment of bullshit.

Hiding the past – GISS certainly tries to keep their previous temperature time series hidden. The Internet Archives “WayBack Machine” is blocked from crawling their web site.

Flawed logic – The “Methane is 86 times more potent than CO2” meme is a classic example of misdirection.

Lying to the public – Yesterday’s Google search for “methane” in the news turned up at least a dozen stories about “Underground Methane Bubbles” with headlines about how they are ready to explode. They were actually quaking bogs.

Yeah Tony, Fake news – Bull shit is there a difference?

  3. Andy DC says:

The Dust Bowl era, peaking in 1934 and 1936 are shown in that chart to be very ordinary years. That is hard to believe considering you had summer heatwaves during those 2 years that were incredibly intense, long duration and widespread.

Records for most 100 degree days and most 110 degree days were set over much of the country (and much of Canada). In most cases, those records have never been approached ever since. Every Great Plains state from North Dakota to Texas reached 120 degrees, as did Arkansas and Louisiana.

Most living Americans have no idea what a REAL heatwave is like! Like 111 degrees in Saginaw, MI (upper lower Michigan). Or nine straight 100 degree days at Chicago Midway Airport, with a peak of 109!

    H.H. Lamb:

“It was after 2000-1500 BC that most of the present glaciers in the Rocky Mountains south of 57 o N were formed and that major re-advance of those in the Alaskan Rockies first took place.

“And at their subsequent advanced positions – probably around 500 BC as well as between 1650 and 1850 AD – the glaciers in the Alps regained an extent, estimated in the Glockner region, at about 5 times their Bronze Age Minimum, when all the smaller ones had disappeared.”

Have you worked out where the calving face of the Jakobshavn Glacier is yet Tony?

    • gator69 says:

Have you worked out what you would do differently (if anything) if alarmists were starving your family to death?

    • AndyG55 says:

Far advance of where it was before “neoglaciation” that led to the LIA.

      Wouldn’t you say, Jimbo.

Or would you continue to DENY Climate Change ??

      • AndyG55 says:

a longer history of Greenland ice sheet area.

Maybe Jimbo the clown will get some basic perspective…

A bit of actual knowledge might release your mind from its AGW stupor, Jimbo. I expect you will put this perspective on your CON web site, won’t you Jimbo.. truth is what you are after, isn’t it? (as if) :-)

more likely you will just continue to DENY climate change.

        Andy & Don.

        You are right,

“[T]he retreat of the glaciers after about 1925 became rapid. It was almost entirely during the [pre-1950] twentieth century warming that the Alpine glaciers disappeared from the valley floors up into the mountains. Similarly great retreats occurred in Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland, in the Americas, and on high mountains near the equator.” — H.H. Lamb Climate, History, and the Modern World (1982), pg. 248

Note that Lamb concludes that most of the Glacier retreat was prior to 1950.

There was a recent paper (Fernandez & Fernandez 2017) dealing with Greenland, and the retreat of the Greenland Glaciers.

This paper reviewed the retreat of the Greenland Glaciers as from the LIA, which based on data available for the various Glaciers was either 1868 or 1898. It reviewed the retreat from the LIA to 1946, to 1985, to 2000 to 2005.

The summary of the average retreat of all glaciers was that from LIA to 2005, the average distance of retreat was 1334 metres. Of this retreat some 1062 metres had occurred by 1946.

Thus from LIA to 1946 there was a retreat of some 1062 metres which was some 80% of the the total retreat. Between 1946 to 2005, there was a retreat of only272 metres, ie., just 20% of the total retreat.

It follows from this that the rate of retreat was significantly higher in the early part of the 20th century and was significantly slower in the later part of the 20th century. The rate of retreat reduced significantly just when CO2 emissions began to become significant (ie., post 1950).

In fact the paper specifically noted that the rate of retreat from LIA to 1946 was 15.3 metres per year, but as from 1947 to 2005 the rate of retreat had slowed to just 4.7 metres per year.

So much for CO2 accelerating the melting of the Greenland Ice Sheet. It is just not happening. In fact, it is the very opposite; the rate of retreat is only about a third of what it used to be in the first half of the 20th Century.

    “…said Andrew Allstadt, an ecologist…”
Physicists and other disciplines are not “Climate Scientists”, so their arguments are not to be believed- however, an ecologist is a “source” of a different color.

    • Gail Combs says:

I rather ask geologists about climate. They have the correct perspective.

Global land environments since the last interglacial

      • RAH says:

Depends on the geologist. Any that believe in this silly crap about naming a new geological epoch the Anthropocene are not to taken seriously IMO.

        • Gail Combs says:

That is for sure. But then I would call them brain washed and not geologist.

          (Hope you are feeling better.)

        • AndyG55 says:

I think the question to ask is “when did man starting having an IRREVERSIBLE effect on the GEOLOGY of the world.”

Humans have had basically zero effect on climate except on a very localised basis, so it can’t be a climate based Anthropocene.

          • RAH says:

The time of humans on this planet is a mere speck in geologic time. Sure we have moved a lot of dirt and rock around. We’ve changed the landscape for agriculture and our needs for living. We’ve altered or cleared forests and replaced species of trees for our own use. We have piled up waste in the from of plastics and other materials that will take millennia to degrade. We have extracted ore from the bowels of the earth and from great holes.
But the simple fact is that natural geologic processes we cannot control are still in the ultimate control.
Of the seven ancient man made wonders of the world, only the great pyramid at Giza stands today. Most of the others were destroyed by natural geologic events. That great pyramid stood as the highest man made construction for 1,000s of years, and yet it’s time on this earth does not amount to a blink in geologic time.

If someone is going to name a geologic epoch as that of man, then it will properly only come after it is demonstrated that man was the dominate feature on the planet for 10,ooos of years. Anything else is pure hubris.

          • AndyG55 says:

            “Anything else is pure hubris.”

Which is , of course, the AGS religion writ large. :-)

          • AndyG55 says:

            AGW. !! not AGS !!

          • Gail Combs says:

I would not worry too much about the plastic RAH

Newly discovered bacteria eats plastic bottles

They originally found a consortium of bugs that appeared to break down a PET film, but they eventually discovered that just one of bacteria species was responsible for the PET degradation. They named it Ideonella sakainesis.

Further tests in the lab revealed that it used two enzymes to break down the PET. After adhering to the PET surface, the bacteria secretes one enzyme onto the PET to generate an intermediate chemical. That chemical is then taken up by the cell, where another enzyme breaks it down even further, providing the bacteria with carbon and energy to grow.

The researchers report that a community of Ideonella sakaiensis working this way could break down a thin film of PET over the course of six weeks if the temperature were held at a steady 86 degrees Fahrenheit….

I am not too surprised since bacteria eat oil and styrene is found naturally in trees like Sweetgum.

Styrene is named for storax balsam, the resin of Liquidambar (sweetgum type) trees. “…when Styrol [styrene] was exposed to air, light, or heat, it gradually transformed into a hard, rubber-like substance” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styrene

          • Gail Combs says:

Oh, I should have said PET is NOT polystyrene.

PET consists of polymerized units of the monomer ethylene terephthalate, with repeating (C10H8O4) units.

Polystyrene consists of polymerized units of the monomer styrene aka Ethenylbenzene; Phenylethylene; Vinylbenzene… the formula is C8H8 or C6H5CHCH2

            https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/styrene

I just wanted to bring up the point that while plastics are ‘manmade’ many occur naturally or at least the monomers do.

  8. Shooter says:

Not to worry, I’m sure Emil Karlsson of ‘Debunking Denialism’ is on the job warning us that melting glaciers will kill us all.

    • Gail Combs says:

I rather have melting glaciers than growing glaciers.

It is a lot easier to deal with a warmer climate than it is a mile high glacier sitting on your city.

  9. richard verney says:

When considering warming it is worth bearing in mind the NCAR summary of Northern Hemisphere temperatures. Hansen in his 1981 paper (Science Volume 213) had a similarly finding and accepted that as at 1980 the Northern Hemisphere was about 0.3degC cooler than it was during the peak of the early 1940s (see Fig 3 of his paper). Hansen noted that his findings were similar to the NAS/NCAR plot out below. He also noted that Jones & Wigley found similar results.

    https://realclimatescience.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Screen-Shot-2016-12-19-at-3.56.00-AM-1.gif

Hansen outlines his findings as follows:

Northern latitudes warmed ~0.8 degC between 1880s and 1940, cooled ~0.5degC between 1940 and 1970 in agreement with other analyses (referring to NAS/NCAR, and to Jones & Wigley)

Of course that warming trend and cooling has now been largely removed from the record as as consequence of the endless adjustments/homogenisation to which this site frequently refers.

And it also worth noting what H Lamb said about Glaciers in his excellent book, Climate, History, and the Modern World, which warmists would hope no one will read and which they hope will be forgotten. Lamb notes:

“[T]he retreat of the glaciers after about 1925 became rapid. It was almost entirely during the [pre-1950] twentieth century warming that the Alpine glaciers disappeared from the valley floors up into the mountains. Similarly great retreats occurred in Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland, in the Americas, and on high mountains near the equator.” — H.H. Lamb Climate, History, and the Modern World (1982), pg. 248

Note that Lamb concludes that most of the Glacier retreat was prior to 1950.

One should also read the recent Fernandez & Fernandez 2017 paper dealing with Greenland, and the retreat of the Greenland Glaciers. This paper reviewed the retreat of the Greenland Glaciers as from the LIA to 1946, to 1985, to 2000 to 2005.

So much for CO2 accelerating the melting of the Greenland Ice Sheet. It is just not happening. In fact, it is the very opposite; the rate of retreat is only about a third of what it used to be in the first half of the 20th Century.

WTF does that cretin know about the planet. Was like watching a kindergarten teacher who never knew fuck all. A lot of scientists credited on a report which supports climate change. But in reality totally disagree with it.i can’t believe how many people have bought into the lies. Tell them Anything they lap that shit up.
