    If breeding season gets shorter it’s a hard job to get the young birds big enough so they can survive next longer winter.

        It’s not that easy to shoot the moon&get a sharp picture of
        the subject in the front-at least not for me.

        btw-the third bird is obviously german:)

          For a wildlife shot, its a trade-off between dept-of-field and potential motion-blur. For thise 2 shots, the moon does not have to be in sharp focus… we can tell what it is, without it detracting from the beautiful focus on the birds.

    I love the way the Red Wing Blackbird perches on vertical reeds. They seem to prefer a vertical perch to horizontal. Standing next to the lake I can here them out there in the reeds but I can’t see them.
