Percent Of US Getting Hot Near A Record Low

The percentage of USHCN stations reaching 95 degrees sometime during the year is plummeting. In 1931, ninety-three percent of stations made it up to ninety-five degrees sometime the year, but this year has only been 60 % – one of the lowest on record.

The frequency of 95 degree days is also plummeting.

And not surprisingly, the average summer maximum temperature is also plummeting.
