I’m preparing for dramatic climate change this afternoon, expecting to see a large increase in humidity over the next four days.
I am packing away my Colorado road bike and getting out my Maryland hybrid bike (steep hills and rough trails.) I also swept my SUV of any spare shotgun shells which could get me tossed in jail in the Bill of Rights free District of Columbia.
Needless to say, I’m not going to be blogging much the next few days.
Welcome back to humid Maryland! We are expecting a big rain on Thursday night and Friday, hopefully you can avoid that.
We will have to get together for a beer. I will have a car this time.
Would be happy to do so.
Why are you going to DC? To testify against AGW? Just curious.
Nothing exciting. Just going to work for a while, drink some Pub Dog stout, and do some cycling in the forest.
Be safe and have a good trip. You’ll be missed in the meantime.
Do you bike the Appalachian Trail? Or is that only for hiking. Kinda on a bucket List for me to the length of it.
I don’t do mountain biking, but I’m planning on hiking there with the pups next weekend.
Good luck. Enjoy some pony ribs on my behalf, if you get a chance.
Speaking of sweeping the vehicle of spare or errant shells, don’t even think about what Adam Kokesh did … what did he do? Here it is:

When I left Laurel, Md., in May, 1973, it had been raining or drizzling for three weeks solid. It didn’t stop raining on my 1967 Mustang until somewhere in western Tennessee. Hope you have a somewhat drier May and get a chance to enjoy hiking in the Catoctin Mountain Park area this summer. I’ll take the dry heat of Yuma, AZ, anytime.
