The Democratic Party and the press corpse (I repeat myself) have degenerated to a point where they refuse to report on or even listen to any points of view which don’t conform to unsupportable, mindless nonsense being spewed by the White House. Even if those viewpoints are being discussed in Congressional hearings on Capitol Hill.
How exactly is this different from the days of Galileo? It is unbelievable how deluded and perverse the Democratic Party has become.
I agree, Steven, and I am convinced that the capture of Japan’s atomic bomb facility by Stalin’s USSR troops in August 1945 gave communism the ability to survive and thrive after the United Nations was established on 24 October 1945.
Important events of August-October 1945 that shaped the post-WWII society were hidden from the public.
Harry Hopkins, FDR’s right hand man and head of Lend Lease, gave the Soviets everything they needed for the most part. Communists heavily infiltrated the state dept. if
Stalin’s Secret Agents: The Subversion of Roosevelt’s Government by M. Stanton Evans and Herbert Romerstein, is to be believed.
Thanks, Patrick. Thanks to Climategate, the physical and social sciences are coming to a common conclusion: Stalin emerged victorious from the ruins of WWII !
Thread bomber.
Joel Kotkin had an interesting description of the Democratic party in an article he wrote recently.http://joelkotkin.com/content/00914-three-headed-democratic-party It is clear that the gentry liberals supply the funds, the populist progressives supply the talking points and campaign themes but the old social democrats are squeezed out. Kotkin says the Democrats need all three to win nationally but it’s pretty clear that the party is intent on replacing the traditional working class Democratic base with new immigrants. So imagine that, an hourly wage worker may soon come to find that not only his job has been outsourced to cheap foreign labor, his vote has been outsourced to newly arrived foreigners as well.
You might find this analysis from The Clinton (Blair)-Rockefeller Pollsters interesting.

Makes you wonder just how Obummer managed to win re-election, although McCain and then Romney weren’t not exactly ‘Rock stars” The Republicans really had to work at losing the elections.

Stalin: It’s not voters who decide elections, it’s vote counters.
There was another statistic I saw in 2010 after those mid-terms. 45% of blue collar union workers in the private sector voted Republican. Obama’s rejection of the Keystone pipeline and the cap and trade regime he’s shoving down the throat of the energy sector next week makes it clear that blue collar working class folks no longer have a seat at the table of the Democratic party.
Now if the Union folks would only figure that out…
Third word immigrants. Legal, and illegal is how.

Only the names have changed?

It is a much larger conspiracy, “unprecedented”.

Actually thanks to the internet it is just a lot more obvious.

Every rich leftist has their own personal pan climate alarmist on the payroll. Leftist want their personal desires for society codified in “science” and then the law.
This isn’t as bad as it was for Copernicus / Galileo. For them, they were up against 2000 years of tweaked calculations and adjusted celestial charts made up by the Ptolemaic camp, which, although wrong, actually worked well enough to predict eclipses, etc. And Galileo’s heliocentric model, although correct, was not exact because he assumed circular orbits. It actually took until Tycho Brahe and Kepler and the elliptical orbit before the heliocentric calculations were as exact as geocentric ones.
And the earth’s actually an oblate spheroid … Isaac Newton, Principia, 1687 …
The shape is actually contracted slightly toward the North Pole because of imbalanced tidal forces of the Sun and Moon, giving the Earth a slight pear shape.
In any case it is the DNC doing this. They will not support any candidate who is not a drone for the “progressive” platform and they tolerate no dissent.
Galileo? You do not have to go back that far. How different is it from the days of segregation? Democrats have a lot of experience in that area.

Gail,
Distortions in government science after August 1945 support Kent’s concerns that Stalin had emerged victorious from the ruins of WWII.

“Degeneracy Today, or The Coercion of Dogma Versus the Coercion of a Design”
This blog, Steve, has been counterproductive as it has become a laughing stock due to the flies to shit effect of your banning only us critics (my original account remains banned) while daily harboring multiple outspoken and widely recognized crackpots who highly organized Gorebot activists are using to negatively and very effectively stereotype skeptics in general.
(A) Registered child rapist Iron Man is now adding historical revisionism of a Japanese atomic bomb, akin to real Holocaust revisionism.
(B) Super historical revisionist Harry who self-publishes ancient gods insanity based on matching random fractal coastlines with random visible star constellations is now linking to fact free anti-Darwin rants such as:
“The future will look back on this and the last 155 years (since Darwin’s “Origin of Species”) with shame (and it will be abject shame, indeed, before it is through, if we are led to World War for a third time, or if the U.S.A. becomes just another state overly coercive of its citizens, because as I, and so many others, have warned over and over, we, and especially the “leaders”, have not learned from our past mistakes–we, taken altogether, are not “evolving”, which in reality only means ever more learning, without forgetting–without degenerating).”
When not one but *two* of your most regular commenters are yammering on about World War Three, you have yourself become a clown, Steve.
(C) When I alerted you to a blatant error in your adjustments hockey stick, both your own supporters and yourself included deceived yourselves into making public exclamations that I was myself crazy.
(D) By over politicizing climate (model) skepticism, you help lock out the remaining few demographics who skeptics can still hope to convince to join us, those being highly liberal scientists and highly liberal urban geeks in the rebellious tech sector. Antagonizing liberals who are actually reasonable voting people rather than sociopaths, is a loser’s game that ruins it for the rest of us skeptics.
(E) If you run an online funny farm, purposefully, you deserve no respect from civil society, which is why you are already one of the most marginalized serious skeptics, disincluded from even the WUWT blogroll and the new collaborative book by mainstream skeptics.
There are those who want facts, and those who want to engage in an endless circle jerk.
There are those who can’t understand that there are different ways of looking at data, and believe that their limited view of the world is the only correct one. That is why progress comes so slowly.
I suggest you take up a serious discussion of CO2 sensitivity at some other blog. Your seemingly endless hysterics and paranoia are really annoying.
No matter how many times you say it, you are not being censored – but I am completely sick of your endless bullshit.
It isn’t as hostile here as elsewhere. Many, many people running online sites including most major media have stopped ANY debates on ANYTHING at this point and yes, you even allow me to rattle on here, too, and I am half-liberal myself.
Thank you for this. Antiwar.com, for example, only lets a tiny fraction of people comment there after Justin banned anyone disputing his take on history including me! Silly.
But you don’t, so far, so please don’t in the future even if people are irritable. On the other hand, forging alliances means not mocking people who have slightly different views about various issues beloved by right or left wingers.
+1
I hate censorship for anything but excessively foul language.
Some of the Professional News blogs have some of the most inane nonsense posted, akin to playground taunting complete with nasty language but do not “allow” Skeptics to posts. (WTF???) So thanks for preserving freedom.
NOTE:
I have noticed that Word-unimPressed has been “Burping” lately and some of my comments have “disappeared” here, at Tallblokes and at WUWT.
Jesse Ventura has always been a fake, phony and a fraud. Look at his term as Governor of Minnesota. Recall too that he said he was taken down into the basement of the Governor’s house and read the riot act or some such conspiracy nonsense.
Your use of the Galileo myth every twentieth post does you no credit. It’s a dog whistle and based on ignorance. It detracts from the value of your other writing.
I don’t like it either but it could be worse. Some like to use the Bruno myth.
You said “days of Galileo”… Well, I know what you meant. But the fact is that the common perception of the case of Galileo is a huge misunderstanding. This video tries to demistify it. Conservatives should never unquestioningly trust in slanderous propaganda against the Church of Rome, particularly when the subject is the history of the medieval era and the passage to the “modern” era, even if you are a protestant christian, because every christian must search for truth without bias.
Warmists tried to rewrite the history of the medieval global climate by erasing the Medieval Warm Period, and anti-catholics in general tried (and almost succeeded) to rewrite the history of medieval Europe by inverting almost everything about it, calling it the “Dark Ages” and other nonsenses…
Please, ignore the portuguese subtitles of the video. And BTW, I really appreciate your blog, especially your sarcastic sense of humor. =P
