Average is extreme now.
This is why NOAA has been utterly unable to make ANY future predictions anywhere close to reality for the last five years. They have been off nearly 100% of the time, often totally opposite of reality.
I have been demanding they apologize when they goof. They don’t. They pretend their previous erroneous predictions are…whatever they create now that no one is supposedly looking.
I have tracked their predictions for a while and make screen shots of these predictions so it is online. But NOAA doesn’t do this. It vanishes.

Actually, Orwell worked for the BBC back then. He drove around in a truck spying on everyone with receiver to see if they were tuning in to the BBC without paying the fees!
This idle job caused him to begin pondering the topic of ‘taking over the world’ a la the Brain in the cartoons. 🙂

All government weather services are afflicted with the same cancer. The Australian BOM says a few warm days in May meant the end of the world. And they make almost daily predictions on ENSO that it will destroy Australia this summer.

The alarmist groups Steven identified in another post are all catastrophists, no different from Lenin, Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini, Mao, Pol Pot and Idi Amin. They use fear to controll people and then destroy most of their own people.
Cutting out the cancer is the only way to return to sanity. Sacking the catastrophists at the BOM through budget cuts is the best medicine. But Australia has a conservative government who will do that. America and Europe do not. Your cancer will remain untreated until the government changes. Next vote is important.
