Many in America adhere to the opposite belief system, that we should avoid conflict at all cost. And they always have. Patrick Henry wrote :
Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace—but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!
Neville Chamberlain believed he could make peace with Hitler by sacrificing principles. Instead of standing up to Hitler, he gave Hitler much of the powerful Czech army. This led to the deaths of tens of millions of people.
It makes no sense to sacrifice liberty for fear of more violence from jealous people.
The US could learn a lot from the Good Friday agreement and the release of paramilitary prisoners in Northern Ireland.
Compare Northern Ireland now to Israel.
Ironically more people died in the troubles in Northern Ireland than 9/11, some of those dying due to arms paid for by people in the USA.

Muslims are aggressive in Europe too, not just America. Most of Europe isn’t an ally of Israel. So to claim Muslims are hostile toward America just because of Israel isn’t sound. They list other things besides that for their aggressions. I hope a world war between the West and Muslims can be avoided. But it seems the world is headed that. I’ll pray I’m wrong.
