Long Shadows Near The Pole

The Sun will set at the North Pole next week for the winter, and shadows are getting very long. The cloud shadows seen below are 20 miles long and appear to be cast by a  low cloud bank.

There are also high clouds in the photo, which are casting shadows on the low cloud bank.
