The problem with all of these headlines is that while global warming may mean more snow, it could just as easily mean less. While snow is consistent with global warming, severely lackluster snow seasons would be just as consistent. Even average snowfall would be consistent insofar as it doesn’t contradict climate change. And while monster storms may be used as evidence for a changing global climate, the lack of such storms could just as easily be used to evidence the same conclusion.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Unfu%#&@g believable.
Ditto that! I was sure the paragraph in the post was a sarcastic summarisation of the Pronouncements from On High in the article. Not so much. Could a “serious” journo actually write such cr@p? Or is there a denialist mole at The Daily Campus?
That’s why they say we’re “deniers”…since everything is caused by AGW, we’re literally denying Reality…
If global warming can cause more snow, less snow or the same snow, it does not affect snowfall in any meaningful way Same if it can cause droughts, floods or any other rainfall in between. So why worry about it?
We could ever easier conclude there’s no problem.
Global Cooling cannot happen. it is impossible. the fact remains that EVERYTHING is global warming. The next ice age to cover NA will be in fact a hot ice, many miles thick in places. Shame on you for driving your SUV….
i really do shake my head somethings reading these stories.
I can see this as a science experiment. We conclude that raising the temperature in the jar causes the temperature of the jar to raise, and lower, and stay the same. It also causes more condensation, less condensation and the same amount. Thank you, can I have my grant money now?
No, you forgot to include the effect of climate change on the breeding of squirrels in your area.
I couldn’t get them to stay in the jar as my experiment is based on open ended models…
I should really try to remember to put down my boiling hot coffee before I start reading Steven’s Latest posts.. I nearly lost one of the boys there!!

It’s the pea under the shells slight of hand:
Their argument is:
Warming increased lake / ocean evaporation.
Evaporation condenses in the atmosphere, making more snow.
The switch was substituting “snow” for rain.
Increased precipitation in increased warming should be more warm rain.
How does increasing the volume (amount) of the water cycle appreciably cool the earth? Well, it doesn’t.
How does a warming world have a cold northern hemisphere winter and snow in Australia during the southern hemisphere summer?
Something is not explained in the “warm increases snow” argument.
