Hansen’s Sea Level Lunacy Affecting Real People

Housing project rejected in Delaware because of “assertions that sea levels could rise by 5 feet over the next century.

Delaware’s top environmental officer has rejected plans for a private sewage-treatment plant that would serve a long-disputed, 132-home development just west of Leipsic in an unprecedented ruling that has triggered both an appeal and a civil rights challenge.

O’Mara, Ashburn’s appeal claims, based his denial of a wastewater plant permit partly on assertions that sea levels could rise by 5 feet over the next century, permanently flooding fringe areas of the plant and exposing more of the plant and community to temporary flooding from storm surges and high tides.DNREC issued a policy last year requiring all programs and permit reviews to consider “the potential effect of coastal inundation” and sea-level rise.

their own Del Gov website say 10-23 inches as worst case……

    “denial” is the right word

  3. Andy Weiss says:

They could get a hurricane or a tsunami, even if sea levels don’t rise. Or maybe an asteroid could land in the Atlantic Ocean. You can’t blame people for being to careful, you know.

  4. Mike Davis says:

They need to Vacate the State to avert any possible future hazards causing damage! By their own admission Delaware is dangerous to support human life! EPA should make it a “Super Fund Site”!
