That is about right. Long term climate can only be determined by looking at thousands of years of records due to the known long term weather patterns that affect regions differently. It could be 1500 or more years for a repeat of certain conditions as there are so many different interactions in the Ocean Atmosphere patterns.
This was shortly after the Knickerbocker storm that left 2 to 3 feet of snow in the DC area. So maybe there is some connection between the Arctic being “warm” and unusual snowstorms in the eastern US.
