Just look at the 1950 predictions for the year 2000 and you’ll see how utterly unrecognizable Earth customarily becomes within just a few decades.
I don’t know what’s worse: the people that make these predictions or the people that believe them.
Yes, it seems like Ehrlich is running the UN these days, and Hansen sits right next to him.
Change scares people. All the while change constantly occurs. It is to the heart of this “climate change” discussion.
We’re called deniers.
Didn’t these guys learn their lesson from Paul Ehrlich’s massive failures at predicting the same types of dooms day scenarios?
Justa Joe – I think they learned the lesson very well. Ehrlich has been showered with praise and medals, the more it seems the less his predictions happened to be true.
I hope the “new face of our planet” doesn’t have any eco-zealots upon it….
“”By 2050 we will not have a planet left that is recognizable” if current trends continue, Clay said.”
Maybe he is referring to this prediction.
I thought “billions will die due to AGW”, or some headline like that. Alarmist need to get their stories coordinated.
Given the cooling experienced thanks to Genghis Khan’s murderous ways, perhaps billions will die, due to the AGW scare pushing some weaker minds towards obliterating most of us, for the sake of the planet.
ahhahaha well if it was that simple we just plant a few trees and we can control the world’s temperature, amazing!

So why is the earth acidity different in different areas? Is this due to plankton ?
