  1. Andy Weiss says:

Since “alternative fuels” are light years away, we better do something to prevent us from freezing in our homes.

  2. It’s their weird version of “drill here, drill now” in reaction to the chaos they created in the Mideast with their reckless rhetoric.

Of course, from an energy policy point of view – more coal to replace lost oil makes no sense whatsoever. Completely seperate applications. Par for the course with this gang (golf snark intended).

  3. omnologos says:

Just wait until Romm demonstrate that emissions sanctioned by Democrats aren’t so bad after all…

  4. Luke of the D says:

You know, when I was a kid I also used to watch the cartoon called Captain Planet… and I always thought the bad guys were great! They polluted to simply pollute. But they said what they were going to do and they did. At least they didn’t flip-flop like a dying fish.

  5. Latitude says:

    Can’t let China get ahead…………………..LOL

It’s all a moot point anyway. If we cut our CO2 emissions to zero, it would not make one bit of difference……….

What does make sense is to actually use our natural resources, instead of selling them to other countries for them to use….
…so they can get ahead of us

  6. suyts says:

Who says money can’t buy everything. I think he thinks he can win another election if he does things like this. hhahahahahahahahhahaha!

    • MikeTheDenier says:

I was about to say the same thing. His flip flop is vote buying at its best

      • suyts says:

He’s trying, but it won’t work. All he’s doing is alienating his base. Once again, we’re seeing why libtards don’t release their academic scores before election.

  7. MikeTheDenier says:

That’s ok. High speed rail will save us all.

$461 million in taxpayer cash to speed train trip between two NC cities — by 13 minutes…

  8. Sundance says:

The Grist progressives are talking about mounting a challenge to Obama in the next primary. Did you ever think you would see a bunch of angry white progressive treebaggers going after Obama? lol

  9. Well, he said he wanted to be president of China. 😉

So, he’s taking a leaf from their book, talking green while building coal and hoping no one notices that he can’t even screw over his base with an original idea.

I still don’t believe it. It will be “give me the unicorn fart money and then I’ll let you build coal plants.”
The Republicans are stupid enough to go for it–especially those invested in it already.

  10. Jleon says:

This decision will run over “Moonbat” McKibben’s tricycle for sure. Look for “Moonbat” and company to deploy his threatened civil disobedience rally’s! Maybe “Moonbat will show up wearing a new “fedora” to emulate his idol/mentor Jim Hansen.

  11. NoMoreGore says:

I’m afraid it’s only talk. This is their new strategy. They claim to be issuing permits in the gulf too, but they aren’t. Okay, I think maybe 1, but it was for a well that was already underway.

This is to get the independents to think he’s not actually the Eco Zealot that he is.
