  1. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

No state has broken their record high temperature during the current millennium.

That is because of global warming.

    ;O)

  2. Latitude says:

can you imagine if the dust bowl happened today………….

    • The climate science community is already deeply into superstition, with the weather very mild. Frightening to think what would happen if we had normal “extreme” weather.

    • suyts says:

lol, then we really would have people in sandwich boards proclaiming “the end is nigh!” We’ve raised a nation of wussies that demand an explanation for every variance from the norm, but can’t express what the norm is.

    • Jimbo says:

If the dustbowl were to happen today you can be 100% SURE they would pin the blame on global warming. Studies, based on climate models, will will give the biased (obvious and expected) results because global warming can cause floods and droughts. Remember just after the Tsunami?

This is the current state of affairs. Any extreme weather event (they have never happened before) has to be a sign from the gods of the global warming religion. Never mind that Tropical cyclone activity at 33 year low. They are just waiting for 1 bad one to hit and that’s it – caused or made worse by global warming in our cooling world.

  3. Peter Ellis says:

That page was put up in 2007 and references a data sheet from 2003. It’s therefore not particularly surprising that there are no records from the last decade.

  4. Andy Weiss says:

If AGW was catastrophic, as being claimed, it would seem extremely unlikely that most of the records would have been set 75-80 years ago and none in the last 10 years. You don’t have to be a math/science wiz to draw that conclusion.

Even the alamists are now saying that global warming has somehow skipped over the US, but is going gangbusters in places were no one lives and where there is very little actual data, like the southern Pacific and the very high latitudes. Sounds a bit suspect.
