Hudson Bay Update

By this date last year, Hudson Bay ice was already melting. This year, the area is forecast to be locked in a deep freeze for at least two more weeks. Looks like the Polar Bears will have plenty of ice for their daiquiris.

    “”But the longer the ice is in returning, of course, the more bears are going to be in very weak condition when they actually make it out on the sea ice.”

    The “enduring concern,” he says, is late ice in Hudson Bay is an increasingly common phenomenon that is linked to climate change. ”

    The current temperature at Chruchill is 3 (F). Their normal high is 29. They have been running 25 degrees below normal the last couple days. Even on the south shore of James Bay, it’s only 12.

    Despite the slow start, it would appear that the Husdon Bay ice is doing just dandy. The alarmists who were shrieking about the sizzling January warmcold heatwave must now all be in hiding.

    Come on people. Have you forgotten the fundamental equations of AGW science?

    * Hot=Climate
    * Cold=Weather

      Where have you been Hal?
      Cold now means even more warming of the Climate! The warmer it gets the colder it feels and the lower the thermometer readings will be. Do not let appearances fool you because it is warming just like the models predicted.
