If we are to retain any hope of keeping sea levels relatively steady, he argues, those power plants will need to be bulldozed over the next few decades.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

OK,
that is TWO Hansen posts in a row without distorting or misquoting him. Who is this and what have you done with Steve Goddard?
You have pictures of him plastered all over the walls of your shri- errr, living room, don’t you?
You are an amazing maroon…….
Hansen is such a political hack.
And, of course, all this assumes Manhattan is worth saving.
Hansen should be more concerned about suitcase bombs on Manhattan that coal powered electricity plants.
Perhaps we can get Jim to sit aboard one of those bombs to make his point?
I would like to recommend Sacramento as ground zero.
The frst step in saving the planet would be to disconnect NASA GISS from the power grid followed by NOAA and EPA. Not only would we be reducing the carbon foot print but eliminating the source of the detrimental warming!
What hubris.
These people who think man has that kind of power are the same ones who devalue human life. It boggles the mind.
