‘Not a single bullet was fired from the compound at the U.S. forces and their choppers”

A Pakistani official rejected U.S. accounts of a bloody firefight, saying: ‘Not a single bullet was fired from the compound at the U.S. forces and their choppers. Their chopper developed some technical fault and crashed and the wreckage was left on the spot.’

this has CIA hit all over it. would of got away with it if it was not for the malfunctioning helicopter. we would never heard about it and the ensuing joke of a response, story from this admin.
I believe panetta has been dead set on doing the hit, probably why he was replaced by a yes-man at the CIA, days before

Why do our leaders feel compelled to broadcast secret military operations? This is a real cluster fck!

A CIA operation that resulted in the secret capture and interrogation of Osama would have been fine with me(I don’t need to know Top Secret operations details). His body could just have easily been conveniently discovered months latter in the wreckage of a drone attack to placate the public. Actual details would be available to historians in 50 years via FOIA.

The death of Osama is welcome but symbolic and matters little in the conflict against Islamic extremism.

(Off-Topic news) … Well here is someone I am very sad to see has passed away. From down under …

Claude Stanley Choules, the last know WWI combat veteran, dies aged 110. Also see FreeRepublic which has more photos.

A quick look at wiki shows that 65 million soldiers were mobilized. Can you imagine being among the last of 65 million combatants! Absolutely stunning.

Note: there are still two surviving non-combatant veterans remaining alive.

    Farewell sailor.

    🙁

This Pakistani official is up on the details of this operation when just last week he didn’t know where bin Laden was. Yes, the Pakistanis are the most knowledgeable and dependable source for information. After all, they weren’t there.
