(May 11, 2011) — Lieutenant Colonel Terry Lakin will be returning to Baltimore on Saturday, May 14, 2011, after serving five months in Fort Leavenworth. Terry was sentenced to confinement with loss of pay, benefits and pension due to a series of events resulting from his request for confirmation of the president’s eligibility to hold office.
For more than two years Terry tried to get confirmation of the Commander in Chief’s eligibility. He followed every proper procedural means at his disposal as a senior officer and Army doctor. In late 2010 LTC Lakin chose to invite his own court martial with the hopes that the normal processes of legal discovery would provide some answers. Instead the court refused all requests for discovery. Nor did the court allow any witnesses. With no defense, Terry was found guilty of the charges resulting from his refusal to deploy. The military is different than civilian law, and as such, he really does not have a leg to stand on. he became a martyr for his cause. As a Lt Col, he knew that going in.
Members of the military aren’t US citizens?
they don’t have the same rights as civilians.
Civilians don’t generally go to jail for not doing what they are told. They usually get fired.
The military is special in that they can put you in jail without firing you. Rather nice of them in my view (if you don’t mind jail).
Steve, he was not convicted by a civilian court. I doubt his conviction would stand up in a civilian court (due to the evidence issue). However when you join the military, you agree to abide by certain rules, and one of them is the Court Martial Court.
He could have resigned his commission, but he instead insisted upon the court martial. As I said, he is a martyr for his cause, but he knew that going in.
America has not heard about this man. I wonder if Obama personally sent a lawyer to get him put away.

The right to legal discovery does not exist for those taking on the establishment, whether the case is valid or not. Another mockery of the legal system.
There is no big question of discovery here. We know the president was born in Hawaii and we know who his parents are. The only legal question is the definition of “natural born” which has not been clearly defined in court.
I love authoritative sounding first person plural statements. They immediately make me skeptical.

Of course. I believe all digitally altered files to be proof of legitimacy. It took me three minutes to make a convincing fake.
I don’t have any opinion about Obama’s birthplace – my purpose on this blog is looking at the evidence presented to see if it is convincing.

I feel sorry for all the little Birthers, It’s not their fault; it’s your families’ fault that taught you that you were better than other people based on race, creed ethnicity, color, nationality or sex, in short they engrained in you their hate (what a legacy).
But you know at some point you need to grow up and act like an adult and think for yourself and distinguish what is true and what is BS.
But there is where the little Birthers find yourself because we all know it was never about a birth certificate or grades, because we all know you want to go around wearing white sheets, burn crosses and hang people who are not like you, we know that your growth is stunted in your hate, and hate is what this is all about, you will never win anymore, and I feel sorry for all of you.
