Even if they had thermometers every square mile…
..they wouldn’t have 1/100th degree accuracy
They can only get that with math
They fantasize about the precision and that makes it so. They might as well claim 1/1000th degree of accuracy as that would be as valid!
GISS doesn’t matter. It only goes back to 1880, which is not long enough to establish whether recent variation is just chunky noise or a some sort of upswing.
That is why regional reconstructions of the entire Holocene are important.
You would think there would be some real weather stations over such a huge area of Africa. Does anyone check those out?
