Climate Change As A Verb? Noun? Cause? Effect?

The verbage of alarmists has become completely incomprehensible.

The climate has changed – due to climate change.

A symptom of climate change is a changing climate.

Climate change is making the weather wetter/drier/more variable/more extreme.

The climate hasn’t changed for 12,000 years, but now climate change is making the climate change at an unprecedented rate.

Incidents of extremely rapid climate change in the past were due to CO2.

The climate never changed in the past.

    Earthquakes are predictable?

  3. Nonoy Oplas says:

    hahahaha. I like this.

  4. Deadman says:

On the News Hour (from PBS) two climate scientists did a fairly good job of resisting efforts to blame the latest extreme weather on anthropogenic emissions, but did generally concede, after continually being asked whether all this weather were caused by climate change, that, in addition to human factors such as building on flood-plains and the like, climate change is indeed caused by climate change.
Wow. I look forward to more advances in journalism-assisted research:-
Archæologist: The Hittites’ empire disintegrated because it fell apart.
My physician: Ah, Deadman, the general deterioration of your body is caused by a general deterioration of your body.
Palæontologist: I can safely assert that the mass extinction of the dinosaurs was caused by a mass extinction of the dinosaurs.

    @ P.J. who says:
May 31, 2011 at 2:06 am “The age of stupid just got worse … ” and
“Italian Seismologists Charged With Manslaughter for Not Predicting 2009 Quake”

Good point . . . just goes to show how dangerous stupidity can be . . . .

If they had given the predictions, and had been wrong, they theoretically could be charged with “yelling fire in a crowded theater”!

This kind reasoning quickly becomes a “Catch 22” of which there is no escape . . .

Unfortunately, I don’t think stupid is an excuse here . . . stupid to me means that one does not have the “capacity” to reason rationally . . . whereas I think the strategy for some is simply shear domination . .

  6. HopeyChangey says:

CO2 will make the climate warmer, unless it’s colder, which was expected, unless we say so. Warmcold will conflate the Wetdry and the Hotsnow thru-out the calmstorm. Only doom is certain, unless payment begins now.
