Based on subsurface ocean temperatures, the way these have progressed the past several months, and comparisons with development of prior El Niños, we believe that the system is moving toward a strong El Niño starting this summer. It’s not a sure bet, but it is probable.

Let me try to fill in……. HE DIDN’T PREDICT THAT!!! He said “It’s not a sure bet,” And, besides the conditions changed!
Has anyone bothered to ask Hansen if he said that or not? Journalists are always making things up about him!!! Makiko probably just put Hansen’s name on the article!
I don’t know what’s worse, the government silencing him or you guys always incorrectly quoting him by showing what he said, clearly that’s not what he meant!!! It was more like a scenario!
