Friday rant: Dumb and glum edition

If Eskimos have 26 different words for Eskimo pies, Americans ought to have 2600 words for stupid. Honestly, I simply don’t know what to make of us. Anybody up for burning down our houses, sowing our soil with salt and selling our children into bondage? We might as well! About 71% of the earth’s surface is oceans, and now we’re ruining that too
Climate change (yes us), ocean acidification (carbon again! yes us), and overfishing (guess who?) should manage to turn this vast resource into a liquid desert. Yay team! We can do anything, gosh darn it, when we put our mindlessness to it! We sit at the pinnacle of human technological ingenuity, and never tire of patting ourselves on the back for it, and here we are, doing BY FAR the most damage to the planet of any generation in history.
But wait! Maybe it’s not true! Maybe American Exceptionalism means that WISHES can be FISHES! Close your eyes and pretend REAL HARD!

He got his gay marriage in NY. What’s he so wound up about, and aren’t even rants supposed to have a point?
“We sit at the pinnacle of human technological ingenuity.” Wow, that says it all doesn’t it?
During every decade we sit at the Pinnacle of Human Technology and surpass those decades that came before. The Chicken Little group such as this fool are attempting to reverse the progress that has provided them with the lifestyles they enjoy and condemn for others.
If you think that’s bad you ought to read his political cartoons. He’s as ignorant of science as he is of politics and just as nasty about conservatism as he is about skeptics.
I love a good Political Cartoon, I have found this…person’s contributions to cartooning to be spiteful, bitter, and hateful… a perfect fit for the Washington Post!
You are talking disrespectfully of the well respected site that earned the deserved moniker: WAPOO and their Barf Brigade! All the news that is not fit for Human Consumption!

I do not read Toles – I do not tolerate racist bigotted hate purveyors. And that is all he is.
