Winter That Wasn’t Flashback : “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is”

Jeff Masters reminds me of the great genius of David Viner.

20 MARCH 2000

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

  1. Me says:

A masterdebater and a jack of fall things Climaxterded related, err something…

  2. Lou says:

As a kid, I love snow. As an adult, I hate snow after learning what a foot of snow was like in Dallas, Texas a few years ago. Nobody could get their cars on the driveway so they left their cars halfway into driveway…

You know what is really funny in this whole mess ?
You get going with some alarmist about the facts and the fictions, it turns out:
Most of them don’t know who Viner is or was, they don’t know Hansimian, Jones, Mann
or any of the team. They never heard of East Anglia or Hadley CRU.
They just know that “scientists” ( whom they cannot name ) said that it is true .

  4. But it’s anthropogenically modified snow so really Steve is talking chalk and cheese here.
