Joe Bastardi Responds To CNN Hysterics

This article

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/06/08/us/record-warmth/index.html

is pure rubbish  as the  disconnect  between temp and co2, (upper left)  the last  3 years  since pdo  flip (upper right) the  ocean/temp  correlation  (lower left)  and  solar/temp correlation show

Like most of the deception with the msm, these people are in the tank for an agenda that will destroy our nation and are doing so with lies

HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY SAY THERE IS A TIPPING POINT, WHEN THE DATA IS GOING THE OTHER WAY!

I had to laugh at those comments left by liberals. They think they’re so smart and that conservatives are so dumb.

  2. Andy DC says:

The greed, insanity and lack of integrity with respect to alarmists reached a tipping point quite a few years ago.

  3. Joseph Bastardi says:

Note : THE DISCONNECT IS UPPER LEFT, THE PDO FLIP IS UPPER RIGHT.
I was seeing red ( and why not look who’s writing it since it is a red agenda) when I read this and please forgive me for the labels. It doesnt matter, the objective person can see the truth

  4. I’ve seen in the news this “Storms bring rain, hail, tornadoes to Colorado, Wyoming”.
    http://www.usatoday.com/weather/storms/story/2012-06-07/colorado-wyoming-hail-rain-tornadoes/55442766/1
It requires quite a cold front to create hail up to 8 inches deep. (in June) .

  5. Andyj says:

On the ‘net more people visit whatreallyhappened.com than CNN. The TV brain deads will go “who?”

  6. Even their 400mb trapping hot spot isn’t trapping anything but cold, Morons!

  7. “HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY SAY THERE IS A TIPPING POINT, WHEN THE DATA IS GOING THE OTHER WAY!”

I can’t and you can’t but it must be easy for them for they have been doing that for a long time. The premise they are using seems to be “reality will obey our command and if it doesn’t, we will simply command harder.” They don’t seem to get the idea that reality simply is what it is. What they say it is, want it to be, and command it to be is irrelevant. Reality continues being exactly what it is.

One might excuse a 20,000 BC primitive hunting and gathering tribe member from believing that way but one must question the sanity of a so called 21st century “scientist” believing he can negotiate a compromise with realty simply by saying in effect: “I want things to be this way and I will close my mind to it being otherwise” and then expect to be taken seriously.

  8. Nomad says:

That is the same chart you have posted about 20 Times, And typing in caps doesn’t drive home anything more than lower case.

    • Hansen has published his US temperature graph about 500 times, but he isn’t afraid to change it

    • Joseph Bastardi says:

you are right, but I was trying to get my blood pressure down

      • Joseph Bastardi says:

by the way.. I was taught, especially in todays day and age, that you have to always start anew with the the strongest point you are making. You may have seen this 20 times, but maybe others have not.

      • Dave Waller says:

Don’t sweat it, Joe. Calling out style to avoid substance is one of the oldest the book.

Your all-caps was not only innocuous, but well justified.

  9. The best part is that the proofs keep getting more and more trivial. Now a whole two weeks of above average temperatures covering some 1-2% of the globe is absolute proof positive that we’re going to melt and die. A 50-50 chance of a PDO flip is evidence that the warming will never stop. I guess by this time next year, a single slightly warm day in Djibouti will be cause for screams of pain and such.

  10. frank garrett says:

There is only one bigger pathetic joke than the mainstream media, and that is the weather channel, oh I forgot they are owned by NBC so they are mainstream media. TWC used to be a must see every day for me,now i cant watch more than 2 minutes of it without wanting puke, and when I flip to TWC and see Al Roacher or Carl Parker I turn of the tv very quickly and go to the computer for my forcast. (SCREW YOU TWC AND YOUR AGW RELIGION)

  11. John B., M.D. says:

A 50% chance of PDO flip also means a 50% chance it won’t flip.

    • Joseph Bastardi says:

The pdo has flipped, and since it did temps have started down as you can see in the graph. The el nino comes on, will do so for about 9 months, then fade. This is well researched by Joe D Aleo and was the cycle we went through went temps cooled in the 60s and 70s. I think they know what is coming and are trying to drive home their AGENDA before it really becomes apparent

      • frank garrett says:

I live in the mid south and there is a cold pdo el nino,so that means better chances of snow down in the in the southern regions of the us, the winter 2012,2013 could get very interesting for the snow lovers down here. 🙂

      • kirkmyers says:

And let’s not forget the impact of the sun, which, as it cycles towards a solar maximum in 2013, remains in a funk. We haven’t seen a solar cycle this weak in more than 100 years. We could well be headed for a Dalton-like cool-down or, worse, another Maunder-type minimum. If either happens, we will see shortened growing seasons, along with rising food prices and food shortages as the wheat belt in the Northern Hemisphere is forced south, reducing crop yields.

Warm is much better for humanity than cold.

      • Dave Waller says:

Spencer’s book does exceptional job demonstrating this connection, and unlike CAGW models, makes successful predictions we are seeing played out in real-time with the PDO and ENSO generally.

  12. JeffT says:

It’s easy, Joe. They are lying. See how easy that is. Like Obama, you can tell they’re lying when their lips are moving.

  13. Winghunter says:

Gore and the Democrats’ Green Graft Machine
    http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/04/gore_and_the_democrats_green_graft_machine.html
“With the Solyndra, First Solar, Sunpower, Fisker, and related Obama administration Department of Energy scandals, President Obama is following a trail blazed by Vice President Al Gore in the mid-1990s. Similar scandals failed (or failing) green technology companies intertwined with Democratic Party fundraising — will continue to arise until we understand their genesis….”

Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in history . . .When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” – UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, and award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.

  14. Tomwys says:

First quarter 2012 late snowmelt albedo driven Asian and European temps headed south, along with Alaska’s too. Lack of snowcover in the US did the opposite, but compare areas and you see that 2012 is still looking to be quite cold from a NH global standpoint.

    Keep ’em honest, Joe!!!

  15. kirkmyers says:

The more their AGW theory collapses, the more more vocal and delusional the CO2 alarmists become. The science and data are not on their side, yet they cling resolutely to their pet theory like an infant clinging to his favorite toy. Their lives and reputations are invested in a crackpot hypothesis that has been thoroughly discredited. But their inflated egos won’t permit them to admit they are wrong.

Some scientists, of course, knew all along that they were pushing a bogus theory, but the research money, front-page publicity, awards and accolades, and lucrative speaking fees made it easy for them compromise whatever ethical standards they held. The pseudo-scientists now peddling the AGW fantasy are no better than patent-medicine scammers, and the gullible, uninformed stenographers of the mainstream media make easy targets.

  16. America does not cover the globe. How can Local American weather be called global warming?

  17. ReCon USMC says:

Not mentioned in the B/S CNN Tree Huger article

Alaska that was said to be melting had it Coldest and
Snowiest {32.7 FT }Winter since 1904 . As did major parts of Russia and Europe .
Oregon and Washington state had cooler Springs .
Shell Oil announced last Week (This is June ) That there were too many mountains of large and deep Mountains of Ice Blocks in Northern Alaska where they normally this time of year Drill for Oil.
It is postponing their Drilling 5-7 Weeks at this Point ..Stay Tuned .

  18. Joe is still using a graph put together by Lord Monckton I think, which overstates the degree of expected warming for that time period by at least .2C versus the IPCC claim.

    • Joseph Bastardi says:

I am not using any IPCC graph here Will. I am using the actual co2 vs temp, the NCEP CFSR and the D Aleo ocean and solar correlations, The 4 chart graphic is the only one that is mine.

It clearly shows that there is no tipping point. The proof is evolving now , and of course if warming resumes with the pdo cold and the AMO cooling in 10-15 years, then I am wrong. But that is all I have been asking for an objective test on this matter, and while the test is occurring allow the advancement of mankind to continue

I see nothing morally and ethically correct about starving people while money is thrown down a rathole that at the very least, has reasons for doubt, and at the most is what many of us believe, a baseless scam driven by a mutation of political agenda, religion, self worship ( man can control what he did not create) and economic considerations. If anything, I am the progressive free thinker, but of the genre I grew up in during the 60s and 70s where you were taught to respond to challenges with free thinking and action, not march along like sheep to a slaughter

      blessings
      JB

      • Frank says:

Keep fighting the good fight Joe. You have a lot of supporters as well as the empirical evidence on your side. Any bets on the Chesapeake Bay freezing over in Jan/Feb 2013, redux 1977?

        God Bless,
        -Frank

  19. Hugh K says:

More CNN viewers cool as precipitous decline in ratings warn of tipping point.

  20. Bill P. says:

NAO has been extremely positive for the 12 month period in question in this article. THAT surely helps pull the US into a warmer than average period. Also, I love how this article ignores how COLD the global temps were during the past winter. Just because the US is WARM, must mean that mankind is to blame. The US afterall… IS the center of the universe. Horrible article.

  21. cosmoscon says:

The data is easy to grab and graph but the media just loves a good story that gets everyone in a panic. I’ve graphed the atmospheric CO2 concentrations and the global temps from HADCRUT3 and UAH and it’s obvious there has been no correlation of CO2 and temps in recent history.

    http://cosmoscon.com/2012/06/09/global-temperature-and-co2-update-june-2012/

  22. Wade says:

Shifting goalposts again. But thanks to the internet, things don’t truly disappear (which can be a problem for me when I say something wrong).

Let us take a trip down memory lane: http://www.time.com/time/printout/0,8816,2039777,00.html — Holiday Blizzard: More Signs of Global Warming

The World Meteorological Organization recently reported that 2010 is almost certainly going to be one of the three warmest years on record, while 2001 to 2010 is already the hottest decade in recorded history.

SO … when it is cold in the US of A, these people tell us “HEY! America is not the world!! Look at how warm the world is!” BUT when the US is warm, they conveniently never mention how much cooler the world is. How interesting.
    http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/national/2012/5

So because when it is warm it is because of man-made global warming and when it is cool is because of man-made global warming, WUWT asked for parodies of what the eco-priests would say. This was the one I did, but there are many other good ones in the list: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/12/26/northeast-us-blizzard-proves-global-warming/#comment-559890

Shifting goalposts. This way, whatever happens, humans are to blame.

  23. S Foster says:

I heard on a weather program, a national cable channel, that it looked like a possible El Niño was building in the Pacific waters. Do you agree with this and if it is true would it help those of us living in the drought stricken south? I just wonder what your thoughts were concerning this forecast.
