LA Times : It’s Not About Telling The Truth Any More

LA Times parroting the big lie without doing any fact checking.

Global warming in our backyard
The reality of climate change is hitting home. It’s time to plan for hotter days and rising sea levels.

It’s not just about the polar bears anymore. There was a time when the conversation about global warming was dominated by news about the Arctic, where its effects are the most easily visible to the lay public. The narrative involved shrinking glaciers and the ferocious white bears that live part of their lives on drifting ice floes that now are melting.

No , they can’t use the polar bears anymore because the polar bear population is expanding and soon the polar bears are going to have to spread out to other territories and adapt to eating other foods because of exploding population. Hohohohahaha. PS , I didn’t know the la times ever told the truth to begin with.

Look at the studies of historic sea level with graph presentation, and you will see ‘the big picture’. Since the peak of the last ice age, the curve rises rapidly until about 6000 yrs ago. Then it gradually slows until it appears to level off, and now shows a very slight drop.

To me, it is obvious that the interglacial meltback is over. The trend is down to another ice age but don’t panic, it will be a slow and fun ride, unless the GreenFreaks have their way.

What’s ironic about the LAT editorial is that it attempts to stoke up the fear level by using projected local temperatures in the LA basin alone to prove global warming is real. In other words, they are using the urban heat island effect, ie local warming, to prove global warming. It’s a new tact by the warmists that bears watching.
