Wow, I think this guy is even more ignorant and incompetent than Jeff Masters, heck Mckibben even blames CAGW on something that isn’t happening, at least Jeff Masters will blame CAGW on an actual event, even if it is a complete over exaggeration or misrepresentation

“DROUGHT TRAGEDY. RIOT IN MEXICO CITY.

“NORTH AMERICAN DROUGHT. WHOLE WEST COAST AFFECTED.
San Francisco, November 27.
The entire Pacific coast from Mexico to Alaska is suffering from lack of water. In San Francisco there has been no rainfall whatever since July 1. This autumn is the driest in the history of California, which goes back to 1849. Electric power is so short in Seattle and Vancouver that street lighting may be discontinued. Forest fires are raging in southern Oregon and northern California.”

“From all points of the compass, far and near, the unwelcome tidings accumulate upon our hands, from the country newspapers, that a great drought, unprecedented in its duration and extent, prevails throughout the land, blasting the fair expectations of the farmer and the planter, and destroying all the late estimates of the year’s production.
From Maine southward along the Atlantic coast to Georgia – from Lake Michigan down the valley of the Mississippi to the Elize – from Long Island to the new territory of Kansas, which flanks the uninhabitable table-lands that stretch away – timberless, dry, and dusty – to the Rocky Mountains – nay, from the rivers which flow northward to the Arctic circle down through the United States, through Mexico, and the States of Central America, the overshadowing complaint is the duration and the desolation of the prevailing drought.”
