And while Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins were arriving at the Moon, the infamous Ted Kennedy (aka Fat Bastard) was busy driving off the Chappaquiddick bridge (sounds like a song).
At the same time our hero Astronauts were about to separate the space vehicles and plan the descent, Mary Jo was drowning in a car and Fat Bastard was busy cooking up a coverup plan to hide his cowardice and shame.
If it hadn’t been for the astonishing publicity of the moonshot with wall to wall coverage (not to mention aiding and abetting by Kennedy accomplices), political history in both Massachusetts and our District of Criminals would probably have changed forever.
What a lucky Fat Bastard.
And a very unlucky young lady.
