Ummm… I’ve only seen the statement that 2012 is the hottest year on record for the USA, not the globe, and using surface temperatures, not tropo temps, which clearly differ over time.
So… what’s your point?
I have had at least a dozen comments here from people who believe that 2012 is the hottest year ever, so what is your point?
The YTD HadCRUT3V data was showing 2012 well below the trend line and one of the coolest years in the 21st century.
