2007 Ice Movement

The really interesting thing about 2007 was the loss of ice after September. Large amounts of thick ice blew out into the North Atlantic after the extent minimum occurred.

There was a rebound in 2008 as well, so even though it lost that extra ice it managed to put ice extent on. Same for 2009, more ice gain back to the normalised downward trend.

I wonder if this year will see a rebound for a couple of years back up above 4 million? Or is the tipping point reached and there is no come back?

I’m going to guess, and don’t call me R.Bates jnr, that 4 million might be a distant memory soon.

Let’s all wave goodbye to it now.

Couldn’t get much more hysterical than this blog if you tried. It’s way beyond parody! I wonder whether the author of this blog writes it from his teenage bedroom or from the safety of a high-security psychiatric institution. Delusional, or what?

  3. Billy Liar says:

Obviously, hysteria is fascinating. They complain about it but they keep coming back!

Must be boring over at Neven’s blog.

  4. Andy DC says:

Willingness of alarmists to claim victory from a rare cold event (Arctic blizzard which broke up the ice) is delusional and hypocritical.
