I hope one day people who are bright enough to understand what’s going on about CAGW, will wake up to the fact that they are being manipulated into framing these stories in religious terms. When it’s all about politics, employment, hope, dignity, plus of course a lot of traditional thinking collapsing against the onslaught of modernity.
Indonesia for example is the most populous Muslim country, and yet only a few dozens demonstrated against a silly movie. And yet here and elsewhere a lot of time is wasted in discussions about religion.
Sure, there are members of the AGW cult that fall squarely into the categories you listed. But there are other categories including the one you intentionally left out, the religious component.
There are plenty of green eco-zombies, atheist by their own admission, substituting nature as their God to fill their meaningless lives.
They see us as attacking their prophets (Mann, Hansen) and their theoretical heaven (a perfectly natural static garden of Eden), consequently CO2 along with every other influence or invention by man must be throttled.
Paul Ehrlich is a perfect example of one, writing their gospels decades ago. It’s taken a generation to develop, and now they’re blooming.
They are every bit as radical and irrational defending their ridiculous beliefs as are the cry-baby muslims wreaking havoc upon themselves whenever someone draws a picture or makes a movie of Muhammad.
It is a cultural problem, one that has existed since at least the time of Mohamed. Islam is a culture of war and conquest and their holy book tells them that they must bathe the world in blood to bring about their form of ‘rapture’. It bears zero resemblance to any other ‘religion’ on Earth and is responsible for 95% of the human caused misery on this planet. Before I studied Islam, I considered it one of the ‘great religions’, but I now know better, and so should everyone. The only time that Muslims are peaceful is when they are in the minority.
And FYI, the Philippines is predominately Roman Catholic, the Muslims are in the minority there and as I stated above, in this minority status they are not as belligerent.
Get rid of Islam and we have virtual planetary peace.
