Temperatures aren’t rising, nor are hurricanes and tornadoes increasing – so the other brain-damaged senator from California has determined that global warming boils down to Tropical Storm Sandy.
Sen. Barbara Boxer said she had a one word answer for why President Obama promised to act on climate change in his second inaugural address: “Sandy.”
Boxer called Hurricane Sandy a turning point in public opinion on global warming, and said Washington will act to curb CO2 emissions not via legislation but through the Environmental Protection Agency.
“My view is they have no choice but to act,” Boxer said

Apparently there has never been a storm surge before this autumn.
If we had zero hurricanes, they would still be screaming that we had altered the climate, and still be demanding a sin tax. It has nothing to do with climate or weather, it has everything to do with central control, lust for power, and arrogance.
I thought Sandy was only a tropical storm when it made landfall. WTF? Is she suggesting that some sort of “action” is going to prevent tropical storms from making landfall again? I say, WTF?
Why are Californians so F’ing stupid? .. why do they keep electing people that are destroying their state, and our country?
Gator69 just gave you the answer, the evidence for that answer being overwhelming, and obvious to me for the last 3 years (and I have only been cognizant of the climate “debate” for about 3 years and 3 months).
Boxer and her kind look at this like someone farting in a crowded room…
If they penalize and tax the offenders, the farting will stop and everything will smell nice again.
By reducing the emission of CO2 they figure, the bad storms will stop.
It doesn’t work that way.
It might have been barely a hurricane as it made landfall, as there were gusts to 90 mph recorded from weather stations on land. I would call it CAT .8. Can’t compare with a CAT 2, a CAT 3 and a CAT 4 (Edna, Carol and Hazel) hitting the east coast within a month and a half in 1954. Or a total of 7 hurricanes hitting between the Carolinas and New England between 1953 and 1955.
Basically they feel that they have the power, and they are to determined to use it.
