Congratulations to the Australian government for having reversed global warming. Nature couldn’t have done it without the neurotic energy of clueless government officials.

“the neurotic energy of clueless government officials”
LOL!!! Thanks Steve, you made my day.
We may have to give AGW yet another name: CGGC
Catastrophic Governmental Global Cooling
Unfortunately I live in the red area on the bottom left!! but we’re nasty right wingers in the west, so global warming will hit us hard!
There are plenty of regions within 1200 km of Perth which are wet. GISS should be able to homogenize your weather to wet and cool. Or more likely, the other way around.
I’m a “bloody pommy bastard” as the locals would say, only been in Australia for 8 years. We have had little rain, but it was the coldest winter ive experienced. You’ll laugh but this was the first year ive seen frost in Perth and on about 5 occasions!! The locals thought the end was nigh!! So you’re right with the cool.
I live in the dark green area in the bottom right (ie the south east).
Clearly, we here in the Socialist Republic of Victoriastan, with its hordes of meddling beauracrats and global warming gaia-botherers have been rewarded.
Seriously though, the drought has well and truly broken over here. My family live up country, about 6 hours north west, and they say they have never seen the country looking so lush. Knee-high green grass and wildflowers as far as you can see, all the creeks and billabongs full and thriving, and an explosion of birds, fish and animal life. The dryland farmers are looking at their best crops for a decade or more. Yay, the drought has finally broken!!
I think Dorothea Mackellar said it all in her poem ‘My Country’ over a hundred years ago:
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror –
The wide brown land for me!

Who would have thought that it is possible to create alarmist scenarios by cherry-picking data Steven? Surely not our esteemed scientific establishments now?
And thanks to the Scarlet Pumpernickel for alerting me to this Nils-Axel Mörner video! This is most reassuring after seeing the “doomed Maldives ‘give us the money’ underwater cabinet meeting” that had us all so worried ….
Perhaps you both might be interested in this little effort as part of my effort in counter-propaganda, down-loadable here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VNMLLEEU
There’s a little trifle about some BoM cherry picking on slides 72 and 180 and elsewhere, and Scarlet Pumpernickel’s video is on slide 113.
Thank you both!
And you haven’t seen October stats yet. It’s been freezing down here…
