He can either be remembered as the worst scientist in history, or he can come clean and clear his conscience by telling the truth.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

I think it’s becoming increasingly interesting that global warming is the easiest thing to lie about
He can’t. He has too much invested in the idea of global warming and has woven it into his life since 1988. He has had all the facts in front of him from his years at GISS but since he “knows” it is going to be horrendous for his grandchildren he will turn his back on those facts that show nothing unusual. He will try to will it to warm and go down with the ship, his mind delusional and tortured because none of the rest of us can see what is so obvious to him. It would be easier for him if he got alzheimers and could forget this long episode in his wasted latter years.
What’s even worse is the fact that he’s been preaching about this “scare” since 1988 and made the irresponsible choice of allowing grandchildren to enter his life.
If his grandchildren drown when the seas rise hundreds of meters, then it can all be tied back to his choice of having children.
Cranks never change their minds. People just stop listening to them.
Excellent. (And true.)
Just look at Paul Ehrlich.
The same could be said about Barack Obama and his entire administration, but we know where that’s going, so expect Hansen to double down.
“worst scientist in history?”
Hansen is not a scientist. Why not? Because of the Zeroth Rule of the Scientific Method:
“When you’re wearing your scientist’s hat, always tell the bloody truth, warts and all.”
Darth Hansen went over to the Dark Side a long time ago.
Uneccessary; he’s a loon who passionately believes every loony thing he’s ever uttered.
