The Greenland ice cap is threatening to melt down this summer at -23C. We should all be deeply disturbed by this development.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Maybe you could start a ‘donate a bucket ‘ campaign to catch all that melt water to help prevent sea-level rise. You’d then have to cover the bucket to stop any evaporation and the water finding its way back to the sea again or we’ll all be in trouble. Or is that beyond the pale?
All glaciers in the world are doing well this year. 🙂
Saving the melting ice caps: You don’t believe this!!!!
Insanity without boundaries: Musician André Rieu is organizing a 2.5 million euro concert at the North Pole. You can attend the concert for 35.000 euro p.p.

Rieu must have been hit by the blade of of a wind mill.
If the ice cap was melting, it would be very difficult to hold a concert at the North Pole.
ya…right…and they will use wind mills to power the amplifiers too…no…better yet…solar panels…in the dead of winter!!
A concert to be held on non existent ice!!!! Well that just about caps it all.
I see its earmarked for the 18th August 2014. Who can tell what conditions may prevail I guess the organisers will just have to go with the floe. As for the music programme
‘North West Passage Story ‘ by Leonard Bergstein.
The ‘Nut Cracker ‘ suite about white left wing AGW would be scientist .
There will be a folk song section with the Mark Sereze Trio version of
‘Why Hasn’t all the Ice Gone,
long Time Trying’.
Mozarts ‘Requiem Ice Mass in Sea Major’
and lots of other slushy sentimental favourites
It’s not melting Steven and It’s already been done.

I am disturbed about the Greenland ice cap melt. Rather than “decayed” or “rotten” ice, I have coined a new climate science term for the type of ice on the Greenland ice cap. I am calling it “Honeycomb Ice©”. The extent and volume is the same but the density is much less than 1. So if Hansen, Gore et al ever use that term, they will need to send me some of their grant money. 😀
